Jessa's POV

I woke up to a bright light shining through my window. As I was sitting up I rubbed my eyes and stretched. Everything was extremely blurry, so I grabbed my big squared glasses and put them on. I hated wearing these things, that's why I wore contacts in public. They aren't colored though, so my dark chocolate eye color is still the same.

As you can see, Matthew isn't here. We solved the problem yesterday when we went back to Matt's house and woke up his mother. She had finally received the new key and she was waiting for Matt to come back so she can unlock the handcuffs; but since we took so long, she fell asleep.

My dad is still furious with me, which is why I'm stuck at my house all day on a Saturday. It's Nothing new though, I usually stay home all day. Except, I usually watch Netflix- but I'm not allowed to watch t.v. He's at work now, like always. The only day he has off is Sunday.

I woke up hungry, since I didn't really eat anything yesterday. I tied my hair up into a messy ponytail and I didn't even bother putting on pants: I usually just hang out in my underwear. I skipped down the stairs without falling and when I got to the bottom I cheered happily.

"YES! Finally! Did you see that Jenni?!" I exclaimed to my sister as she sat down with her bowl and stuffed a huge spoon of cinnamon toast crunch in her mouth. She looked at me with a poker face, not mimicking my excitement, "Mo." She mumbled with food in her mouth. I think she meant to say 'No'.

I didn't let her ruin my Happy mood so I wore a smile on my face to the kitchen. "Why are you just never wearing pants?" Jennifer chuckled when she swallowed. "Ugh pants are so uncomfortable. I'd rather just hang around in my underwear." I laughed back. "Okay, I'll be in my room." She replied.

I started taking out the ingredients for my breakfast, which was a bowl and milk with cereal. Like I said before; I can't cook. I poured the cereal into the bowl and was about to pour in the milk when there was a knock on the door.

"COME IN!" I screamed loud enough for Mackenzie to hear. I invited her over yesterday so I guess She's here now. "Hey girl, Hey." She greeted. "Ugh! Put some pants on!"

I just twisted my face in disgust at her suggestion, only jokingly though. As I was pouring in the milk our doorbell rang, and our doorbell is really loud, that's why Mackenzie knocks. Because of the loud sound I dropped the gallon of milk. "FRIPPLES!" I screamed and quickly picked it back up. "Go answer the door." I told the laughing Mackenzie.

I looked at the huge puddle of milk that was spilled on the floor. I jumped over it and climbed on the counter to grab the napkins to clean it up as I heard the door close and a small mumble of, "She's in there." I put the napkin on the floor and went to get more. I tried reaching it on my tippy-toes but couldn't.

A hand suddenly reached over my shoulder and grabbed it for me. "Thanks." I said with a smile. I turned around and my smile faded. "Aw! You look so cute in those nerdy glasses!" He remarked and I blushed. "Matthew what are you doing here?!" I whisper yelled, "My sister is home and my dad will kill me if he finds out you stepped foot in this house!"

I looked at his face that had amusement written all over it. "Jessa, honey, you might want to put on some pants." Mackenzie laughed behind him. "FRICK!" I yelled and pushed past Matthew who was wearing a smirk. "Noooooo." He whined.

I rolled my eyes at him and my cheeks flamed red. I quickly grabbed my sweat pants and put them on. As I was walking down stairs my cheeks were still red. And, I guess going down the stairs and not falling was a one time thing. I tripped on the last step and stumbled forward but caught myself.
