Leaving on a jet plane

prologue

"April talk to me please!" Oct shouted.

"Why would I, oct?" I cried. He tried to reach me but I moved backward.

"Please. I'm begging you." He begged again at lumuhod sya. I looked at him.

"Oct please. Pakawalan mo na ako." Sabi ko at humarap sakanya.

"No no no. You know I can't do that." Ani nya at umiling iling.

"Ano pa ba ang hindi mo maintindihan sa ayaw ko na sayo." Tanong ko. He looked at me confused.

"As long as hindi mo ako binibigyan ng rason hindi ako susuko sa relasyon na 'to!" Sigaw nya sakin. Tumayo narin sya ngayon.

"Ayaw ko na sayo Oct!" Sigaw ko sakanya.

"Hindi mo ba ako minahal?" He looked at me thoroughly. I looked at him too. "Hindi mo ba ako mahal April?!" Ulit nya. Hindi ko alam ang sasagutin ko.

"Hindi mo ba ako minahal? Putcha naman oh. Nagbago naman ako para sayo ah! Ano pa ba kulang?! April mahal na mahal kita!" He shouted at me. "Walang matatapos na relasyon ngayon dito ka lang!" Ani nya.

"No Oct. Tapos na tayo. Ayoko sayo!" Sigaw ko.

"Hindi to matatapos, April. Hindi." Ani nya at umupo na sa swivel chair nya.

"Oct nakakasawa ka na." Ani ko. He looked at me coldly. "Hindi ko na gusto 'to. Ayoko na. Aalis na ako ngayon. Hindi na natin 'to maaayos pa, ayoko na." Ani ko.

"Mahal na mahal kita April. Kaya hindi kita papakawalan. Hinding hindi." Ani ni Oct.

"Tama na Oct hindi ko na kayang pakisamahan ka-" I was cut off when he suddenly punch the table between us.

"Pakisamahan?!" He growled. "Pinapakisamahan mo lang ako?! I couldn't believe that. Minahal kita April tapos ako? Ano? Ako pinapakisamahan mo lang. Tangina naman. Hindi ko kailangan ng taong papakisamahan ako! Kailangan ko ng pagmamahal mo." He was fuming mad.

"Please Oct. Please calm down." I said.

"How can I calm down if the woman I love will leave me, huh? How can I calm down April? You're the only woman that I love. I never hurt you so what's wrong?" He asked me.

I closed my eyes and I sighed. "I don't love you Oct." I open my eyes and see how Oct's shoulder fell.

"You don't love me?" He asked. I nodded.

"You're not a good liar, April." He said. "Pero ayan na yung desisyon mo. Okay go where you want to go but you're not breaking up with me. Fly high my love, I'll come with you after you find yourself. I'm always watching you know that. Go where you want to go, but i'm not breaking up with you." He said and took a step closer to me, he grabbed my waist and hugged me. I cried over his shoulder and whisper sorry.

"Shh love. Don't be sorry, I'll let you go for now. I'll try to understand. You'll come back to me because I will find you, okay?" He pat my head and kissed my forehead. "Love, you like playing hide and seek, right? Let's play that. You'll hide and I'll seek for you. I'll find you, I know I will find you. But I'll give you time to hide, a year would be good." Niluwagan nya ang pagkakayap sakin at tinignan ako ng maigi. He smiled at me.

"You're so beautiful, love. You're so lovely. Don't cry, I hate it when I see you cry. Oh it's my first time seeing you cry." He laughed and kissed my forehead again.

"I never cry when I'm with you." I said and looked at him. I see the pain in his eyes.

"Because I never let that happen. I always assure and protect you. Love, can I have a favor?" I looked at him.

"What is that?"

"Hug me tight and look at me while i'm sleeping. Once i'm deep in sleep you can go." He said. I cried again. He hugged me tightly.

"Shh love. I just don't want to see you leaving. I might go and bring you back in my arms. You know I can't lose you." He said. "Can you do that for me?" He asked and I nodded.

"Let's go." Pumunta na kami sa secret room nya sa kanyang opisina at humiga sa kama.

"You're so beautiful." He said and closed his eyes. I tried not to make a noise while i'm watching him. He hold my waist, pero hindi katulad dati na mahigpit. I cried again, I know it's hard for him.

"I'm sorry, love. I'm really sorry." I whispered and hold his face one last time. "I love you my Oct. I promise you, I'll come back. I'm just leaving on a jet plane." I watched him sleep. At ng naramdaman kong pantay na ang kanyang paghinga ay umalis na ako sa kanyang opisina.

I woke without April beside me. I heard the last thing she said and I know she'll come back. "I'll wait for you, love. And once you're back I'll never let you go. Never again."
