(Eliza's POV)
I was in the car, driving home from Kent, when I received a message from my boyfriend James.
"Hey babe, hope your Holliday in Spain was good, see you when you get back!x"
The truth is, I wanted some time away from home, so I may have told him I was in Spain.. Buttt, I thought if I told him that, he wouldn't bother me. Family time. You know?
"Oh hey James, I'm just on my way home now. I'll see you soon? Xx"
He didn't read the message until 8:45pm, so I turned my phone off at an earlier point because I was bored. Sunday morning I woke up, and did the usual. Shower, Breakfast, teeth blah... And I heard a knock on the door. I quickly dried myself off and put on some joggers and a t-shirt. I ran down the stairs and opened the door.
"Hello, is El-"
I smiled and replied
"Eliza? Oh yeah, she's here"
It was James. He smirked romantically and pulled me by my hips towards him. We glared at each other romantically, and then began making out. Thankfully mum wasn't home so she had no idea what was happening. I bit my lower lip, and opened the door a little more, hinting for him to come in.
"So then, how was your Holliday?"
"It was alright? It sucks in lon- I mean Spain...umm.. It was too hot?"
I tried not to make eye contact, but he looked like he knew something was going on.
"Yeah, you don't look like you have a tan? Why's that?"
"Oh, I used a lot of No. 50 sunblock" I walked to the fridge, and looked aimlessly because I wanted to look like nothing was going on.
"Why did you lie?" James said out of the blue.
"Um? What do you mean?"
At first I felt like he didn't trust me, but I guess, he has every right not to, because I did lie...
"You didn't go to Spain did you? If you had, I'm sure you would have had a tan? Right? You hate how pale you are?"
I looked around trying to avoid the question, but I knew he had a right to know why I lied to him.
"Okay.. Yes... I lied.. But hear me out okay!?! I actually went to London, but I told everyone I went to Spain because I wanted people to think I was going on a cool holiday. Plus, I wanted time with my auntie. She's really sick. And I wanted to see her."
"MORE LIES!! Why are you lieing to me!"
"JAMES!" I shouted "I swear I'm not lieing! My auntie is really really sick! She has a heart failure from her surgery!"
I went cold, feeling pathetic, but I was really telling the truth.
I felt a tear roll down my cheek, and I knew I was going to start crying. James started speaking but I have no idea what he was saying. Everything went blurry. I couldn't hear, or see, and then... I blacked out.
