Halloween night is a fun night for most people, wearing costumes, going trick-or-treating, and all the spooky decorations on the houses and all over town. Well, in Skullville, it's not like that. Something strange happens every year. Missing decorations, random forests from nowhere, and fog so dense that you can't see a centimeter in front of you. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Mable Crackshaw, a 16-year-old girl. So anyway, my twin brother (or should I say bother ) Carter and I were walking down the street, admiring decorations on houses.

"Mable, hurry up, the decorations on this house are awesome," shouted Carter. People were walking around, house to house in costumes, trick - or - treating. People never learn, do they? A person was handing out fortune cookies for some reason. I took one and cracked it open. The note inside said,

"Unusual things happen on unusual days so stick with your family to avoid the unusualness." That made no sense to me at all so I just threw away the paper. I was now looking at people's costumes, admiring them when suddenly out of nowhere, "BOOM!" Everyone that was on Dracula st. fled. People were screaming and running all across town. I didn't know what it was and what to do. Then suddenly, like a genius, my bastard brother ran. you think "Why is he a bastard, he did a sensible thing." Well, he didn't run away from the blast but, he ran toward it.

"What in the #%$@$#& world are you doing you, idiot," I yelled. " To explore the blast. Isn't that your favorite thing, Mable," he yelled back. I have to admit that I do like exploring. So I followed him. It was a dumb thing to do, but I was also curious like my brother. " Wait up Carter," I called after him. As I ran after him, I saw there was no damage to the place where the blast happened. As I was looking around, I bumped into my brother, who was looking up. I followed his eyes and looked where he was looking. Then I saw it, a humongous forest, and floating about 50 feet above the forest, was a creepy looking house that was still attached to some land. The forest engulfed a bit of Mummy street and all of Ghost street. Before I could tell Carter we should go back, he ran straight into the forest. Before I ran after him, I examined the forest. The forest was unusual. The trees were tall, maybe about 200 ft tall.

They looked like oak trees. It didn't make sense, oak trees don't grow that tall. But the most unusual thing is that the leaves were so big, almost as big as me. The forest seemed to radiate fear and eeriness. I went into the forest. The ground in the forest was squishy like a muddy swamp, but with trees. As I walked deeper into the forest, I saw a house in ruins, like a house that was lifted by a tornado and was smashed down again. "BOO!"

"Aaaah!" I screamed. "Got you there." chuckled Carter.

" You f*****g b***h, why did you do that." I wanted to punch Carter but I had other things to worry about. " I wonder what happened here?"I asked Carter. As if a cue, a big gust of wind whirled around us, grabbing us, and lifting us up toward the floating house. As the wind got faster, I got dizzy, and then, everything went black.
