Nicos POV
Uuuuhg... April fools day. I hate it. It's not like I don't enjoy a good prank, but the term "harmless joke" has gone a little too far as of late at camp. especially today when my tortures aka Travis and Connor get an excuse to abuse me any way they want and say it was just a "prank". Oh well, I got up at 6:00 like usual, earlier than most so I could get breakfast before the hoard of demigods at camp come storming into the mess hall. After a quick eggs and ham, I walked back to the Hades cabin and hid in the shadows to watch the inevitable occur.
At about 7:00 people started sitting down and getting food. breakfast was in full swing by around 7:15 and things seemed normal, Jason was talking to Leo, kids from the Ares cabin were picking on some poor unfortunate soul, but something in particular cought my eye.
PIPER
She was staring STRAIGHT at me. And she was grinning. Not a good sign. Piper was another who got a kick out of April fools day, what with her charmspeak and everything. A chill ran down my spine as I looked over to see who she was walking with.
PERCY
Shit, now I knew why she was grinning. Hope I'll last through the day.
