Violetpaw's Destiny

~Chaper 1~

"Be nicer to Stonekit!" Oddeyes scolded Venomkit. Oddeyes sighed and laid her head down on the moss beneath her. Venomkit got off of Stonekit sadly and ran out of the nursery. Stonekit groaned and fell asleep where he was. Violetkit got up from where she was sitting and chased after Venomkit.

"Venomkit!" Violetkit called seeing Vemonkit from across the clearing. Venomkit ignored her swishing her tail as she headed towards the exit of the camp. She was stopped by Grayear who was guarding the entrance.

"You know you can't go out till you're an apprentice." He said to her, his eyes gleaming in amusement. Violetkit gleamed. I can't wait till i'm a warrior! She bounced around bumping into Russetpaw who grunted and walked to the apprentices den. He muttered something but Violetkit ignored him. Venomkit suddenly smashed into her and she studdered back falling on her back. She saw Venomkit smirking at her on top of her.

"Ha, I got you!" Violetkit inched away. "I'm going to be the best warrior in all the clans!" She exclaimed getting off of Violetkit. Violetkit drooped her tail and walked back to the nursery while Venomkit searched the fresh-kill pile. She acts like she is an apprentice already! Violetkit as she walked into the nursery almost tripping over Stonekit.

"Watch where you're going!" He yelled jumping up. Violetkit scampered into the corner of the nursery away from all the kits tumbling around. "Weakling," she heard him mutter. She saw Rainkit walking towards her.

"He's just trying to act strong" she said sitting next to her. Violetkit looked at the ground doubtfully.

"Maybe I am weak." She muttered. Rainkit lifted Violetkit's paw with her paw.

"Don't think like that!" She smiled sadly at her. "You are perfect." Violetkit brightened a little bit and licked Rainkit's ear lightly. They stared at each other for a moment and then Rainkit spoke. "I must get back to my mother. I'm becoming an apprentice tomorrow and i'll need my rest." She nodded and padded towards Molefoot. (Oooo, What's going to happen? This might be a hint for later in this story!)

"Uh, okay." She stood up and returned to her own mother and sat down next to her.

"Go catch Stonekit offgaurd." Oddeyes whispered. "But be nice." She licked Violetkit's ear and Violetkit stood there and grunted. Everyone treats me like a newborn kit. She crept towards Stonekit crouching as low as she could. She saw Stonekit flick his ear and she froze. She pounced but before she hit him, He stood up and kicked her. She squeaked and hit the nursery wall. Before she blacked out, she saw Stonekit looking at her with fear in his eyes and then she looked at the cats rushing towards her. (Some dramatic action!) She closed her eyes and lost conciousness.

~Time skip~

She opened her eyes and she was in the medicine cat den. Crowpelt was sorting herbs with Crystalpaw across the den. She tryed to move but gasped at the pain she felt in her ribs. Crystalpaw sprinted over to Violetkit and sat next to her.

"Try not to move, you need to recover." Crystalpaw said looking at her with worry in her eyes. Violetkit shuffled in the moss. "It's not going to help you become an apprentice sooner if you keep moving." She sighed sadly and washed a thorn out of her Violetkit's pelt. Violetkit sat up swishing her tail and her fur bristling.

"Why does everyone treat me like a newborn kit!?" She shouted and looked around knowing she shouldn't have yelled. The whole camp could probably hear me! She plopped back down ignoring the pain in her ribs and buried her face in her paws. Crystalpaw walked back over to Crowpelt and sighed. Violetpaw watched her and then she looked away and saw a ball of moss with water beside her. She lapped at it and scrunched up her nose as the dirty water hit her tounge. She heard Crowpelt and Crystalpaw talking in the back and she jumped as she heard a voice outside.

"Can I come in?" It was Oddeyes. Violetpaw closed her eyes and slowed her breathing faking to be asleep. She didn't want any sympathy from any cat.

"Yes, she was awake but she might have just fallen back asleep." Crowpelt said quietly and Violetkit realized that he knew she was awake. Thank you. She thought as the lichen hanging at the entrance shook as cats entered. She smelled Oddeyes, Venomkit, Grayear, and heard Stonekit's tail dragging behind him.

"Is she going to be okay?" Oddeyes asked with worry in her voice. Violetkit tryed not to twitch her ear in annoyance.

"Yes, but she might have a few cracked ribs. It will take a while to recover." She heard Crowpelt say as she listened to him padding across towards them. She stiffened. Will this hold me back from becoming an apprentice? She let a tear roll down her face as she saw in her head Stonekit and Venomkit standing in front of the highmound smilling while she watched out of the medicine cat den sadly. She started breathing harder and tryed not to sob. Grayear broke the silence that had been resting in the den.

"Well, we should let her rest." He led them out of the den and she felt Stonekit's gaze burning her pelt. She gave a sigh of relief as they all left the den. She slowly got into a more comfortable position and sat there watching the water pouring into the pool below. She heard Crytalpaw walking towards the entrance and she brushed her tail against her pelt before brushing through the lichin and leaving Crowpelt and Violetkit alone. She closed her eyes and found herself slowly falling asleep.

I am happy with this chaper. I believe this pulled me out of my writer's block and I really enjoyed writing it. I know it took long but I had no ideas for what to do xD. I'll try to remember to update this story weekly. Thanks for reading! You can comment an idea and I might use it. I'm also going to try and put a theme song of the chapter.
