The Flaming Emissary

Chapter 19

A/N: (Apologizes for the very long delay, I've been fighting against my writers and art block, and school. But without further ado...I present a new chapter, please enjoy)

---- Previously on The Flaming Emissary ----

Reiscorn was utterly surprised, "You are such an idiot at times Reiscorn, your behaviors are from  an age long forgotten because of this war. But....you are the last original remnant that displays the true cybertronians we were before all this bloodshed, please....never change that...don't let this war change that." Starscream quickly let go and backed away a few feet after hearing himself say all that. His faceplate was blushing a hint of blue, Reiscorn was speechless.

" Ahem-I...Starscream I would never change who I am for just a war and I've fought many battles great and small, I could never succumb to these pressures like Lord Megatron. I have read up during some nights about some of the crew, yes I had brought a reading datapad.  Also I am no idiot, I am merely doing my duty as second in command beside you. Protecting who I can while I'm still online during all this, with you beside me..at least you're one of the few I can still protect."

'Is Reiscorn confessing?!'

They sat in silence as Reiscorn recycled what he proclaimed and blushed slightly, 'Ahem-shall we go for a flight my little seeker?' Reiscorn politely asked moving out of the way revealing the sun soon to be going down over the forest.

Starscream gave him a small smile, "I would be honored to take a flight with you." Reiscorn bowed and stepped to the side waiting for the seeker to take off. But what surprised Reiscorn the most was Starscream pecking him with a small kiss on the side of his jaw and quickly taking off into the sky.

Reiscorn was stunned, he quickly recovered and went after the devious seeker........

'Time is something so new to me now that I'm here somehow, cybertron has changed for the better and for the worst. I'm just grateful to have another chance to be online to take a moment to take in everything and never look back.'

They returned back from their flight with renewed glee, Starscream transformed back to bipedal with vigor landing gracefully on top of the soft grass while Reiscorn landed with a slight pained stumble. His joints strained enough from the flight, they landed in a small clearing a few miles away from their shelter.

"It seems a flight among the clouds is all I needed, after all, thank you Reiscorn for that."Reiscorn drew a slow breath but regardlessly nodded nonetheless of his apparent exhaustion.

"Though," Reiscorn perked up slightly as he slowly turned his helm to look at the seeker, "you did give me a few frights when your wings flickered out mid-air", Starscream mockingly confessed as he sauntered over to receive Reiscorns lowered glare over his slight panting. Reiscorn set aside his annoyance and looked up at the sky; it was late evening already and the day was soon coming to a close.

The trees whipping in the wind and the vibrant orange clouds gradually swept by above them beautifully as Reiscorn stared in awe.

"Enjoying yourself Reiscorn? Don't get so comfortable...soon we'll be departing from this accidental exile and join the rest of our forces in the skies." Starscream annoyingly reminded as he crossed his arms over his chest peering at Reiscorn's awed expression.

Reiscorn lowered his helm down from the sky's view, he growled in rising annoyance with every comment from starscream.

     'Does he have to ruin such a glamorous moment like such?! We had an excellent flight and he sours it with my drawback and then rudely reminds me of our duty in a time of limited rest!!!! RRRAAAAAGGGHHHH!!!!!! I need to go for a short stroll.'
