One day, many many years ago, my planet Nejria was discovered. It's no normal planet. Our human founders, which we call The Zaklades, attempted to create a civilization on a broken planet, only to find out that they were destined to be broken as well. That was until the mighty protector Aurora descended from the void above. She was supposed to protect the planet from harm. The planet needed it. It is alive after all. If it crumbles, then all life goes with it.

A strange planet it is.

Everything is different. The sky remains a beautiful shade of purple containing a small sun, and the stars proceeded to shine even brighter during the day. Where the seven moons and faded stars fill up half of the deep blue night sky, while neighboring planets are occasionally accompanied by the aurora borealis. The moving, and sometimes deadly, plants cause many problems, yet bring beauty and color. The strange hybrid animals roam the first and rivers. There are many mysteries and puzzles on the planet like the labyrinths and ruins that run all through and along Nejria. Many mystical creatures make up the population. Of course there are still humans, and connectors as well.

Truly a diverse society.

You see what I mean by no ordinary planet?

You're probably asking, "Hey narrator, what exactly are you narrating? Well my dears, allow me to tell you a story.

On the Night of the Seven Moons, a little girl was born. This year, it decided to land on the third day of the third month, which strengthened the night. Now pay attention. The Seven Moons of Nejria align once a year, allowing terrible darkness to flow out of the crevices of the shadows. Why is it so important that a baby was born you ask? Well, every child born on this horrible day had sadly perished, for it could not be strong enough to handle the darkness. Yet, at three twenty six in the morning, on the twenty fourth of March, a baby refused to make the same fate. Now it was shocking to say the least, but to be a child of royalty, now that motivated everyone, and spiked their curiosity. There was something unique about the baby, something that hadn't occurred for many centuries.

Legend says that The Zaklades had powers connected to the living planet. Power that rarely exists now. Back then, the most powerful connector was 'The Light Bringer', or as was mentioned earlier, Aurora. She was supposedly the most powerful, attempting to bring light to the world of darkness. She was the protector of Nejria, yet she failed to maintain the broken planet tied together. After her fall, it fell into chaos. The now functioning civilizations fell into fear. The Zaklades, who learned to live compatible with the planet, couldn't help but pray for the light bringer to return.

It was rumored that the one closest to the light bringer received a vision. A prophecy. It was a prophecy that had been questioned for centuries, which said:

'The planet will find light, when the girl learns to rise, she who will be at the age of 20, will have to make the choice'.

Everyone pondered who the prophecy was referring to. Nobody knew. Not even the smartest pixie. That was until the Night of the Seven Moons.

Nobody expected it. The living child, born on the day when the curse was strongest. When the child's eyes opened, one could only focus on the strange violet glow emitting from them. Which was unusual since it is not a color that just anyone has. On the collar bone of the child, there was a small mark, which seemed to be carved into her skin. It was of a star in a circle, with two horizontal lines going across.

The symbol of Aurora.

News spread quickly throughout the kingdom. The princess, future queen, was the chosen one. Everyone wanted to meet the child, for they wished that it would bring them luck by standing in the presence of the supernatural being. The king and queen were not as happy as the rest. Instead of allowing the child to embrace the newfound power, they attempted to hide it from her. They made it forbidden to speak about it in front of the little girl. They did not want her to know what she was capable of.

Ever since the child was... well, a child, the king demanded a teacher, who would teach her about the fears of the outside world, in hopes that it would scare her to the point where she would remain inside the walls of the castle. But what they did not expect is for the child to be intrigued by the terrifying stories. She was only four years old, but already wished to find the dark creatures that were supposed to give her nightmares.

As she grew older, the child was restrained and held back. Her mother shoved her into manners class, where they were allowed to treat her very poorly if she misbehaved. The loud and carefree girl was able to be shifted into the reserved and quiet lady, which her parents wanted.

The perfect daughter, future queen, soon to be married to a handsome prince.

They didn't see that by forcing back her right to talk, to express her mind, that it ripped her apart. They forced her to deny what she was, the power she held. They didn't see that their daughter, the mighty protector, was broken.

How did they expect a broken princess to survive? Especially one that was taught to repress her emotions.

The answer is, she can't.

She is the one that needs to bring light back into the world, hope back into the eyes of the people. She is the one that needs to tie the living planet back into place, for one who calls themself Erebus took advantage of the weak state of it. She is the one that needs to fight for the sake of them all.

Fixing a broken planet while broken... now that's the real problem.
