HARRY'S POV:
"We really need to stop meeting like this" I tell her.
Toni.
She's on the flight to London. I thought she was going off to Scotland. That is what I kept hearing. Now, she is standing in front of me. Sitting next to me on a flight to London.
"I wasn't expecting to see you, Harry."
"The same can be said about you, Toni." I wink at her and smile.
She stares at me and shakes her head.
"Small world, huh?" she says.
"I'd say it's a beautifully small world."
She chuckles and starts to lift her carry-on so she can put it in the overhead compartment.
"Wait! Let me" I tell her as I jump out of my seat and take her bag.
"Thanks, Harry" she replies as I am standing directly in front of her with barelythismuchspace between us. I can smell her perfume and can almost taste her lips.
"Um, excuse me" she says as she takes a step back allowing me the room to place the bag away for her.
"Would you prefer the window seat" I ask her.
"No, I'm fine in the aisle, besides, we have plenty of room. I mean, there's only two seats, right?"
"True, but I know girls mostly like the window seat."
She smiles at me. "It's okay, I don't mind the aisle seat."
I go back to my seat and watch her sit next to me. These are roomy seats. I have an hour and a half to be with her.
"So, are you staying in London? Do you have a shoot or something?" I ask her.
She shakes her head. "No, I am heading back to the estate. I plan on sleeping for at least 2 days straight."
I chuckle. "Yeah, I can imagine you must be tired."
"You have no idea."
"Mum and Gemma are gone. You've got the entire place to yourself once more. Hey, thanks so much for allowing them to stay for so long. And for letting me crash there. It was above and beyond; especially for people you didn't know."
She cocks her head and smiles.
"It was my honest pleasure to have you and your family there. It's such a huge estate and it's safe. That seemed to be the biggest plus to have you all there." She takes in a deep breath. "I also like having people there to enjoy the calm and serene of it all, you know?"
"Well, it was beautiful and you were the most gracious hostess."
"What are you going to do when you get to London, Harry?"
Now it's my turn to take a deep breath. I still need to think this whole thing through.
"I guess I have to finally face the music and go to my house. I'm not sure what I'm going to find when I get there. I know the garage burned, that much is confirmed. I think the cars have been removed and are being refurbished, etc."
"That must be hard, knowing your vehicles were destroyed. Any idea why? Or how it started?"
I shake my head. Honestly I don't know and I didn't ask. I really am afraid of what I'm going to find. I figure Jeff can take care of all that for me for what I pay him.
"I don't. I didn't ask. I let Jeff handle it. For what I pay him, he should be the one dealing with these types of headaches."
She nods and yawns.
