#11 I don't like it!

It's a tuesday evening. Liam is at work and Zayn is cooking dinner while the boys are playing in the livingroom.

They are eating lasagne, something Niall doesn't like. Zayn knows it but they need to get groceries and this was the only thing he could make since well, he isn't the best cook.

Niall is also a very picky eater though. Where Harry and Louis eat everything they get on their plate, Niall only likes a handful things.

It's alright though, they made progress already since he came here and that's what counts. However, Zayn wants to try to make Niall eat this tonight.

Normally Liam is the one who deals with these kind of things since he's a bit more stern, but he will be home late tonight, so today Zayn has to deal with it.

As soon as the dinner is on the plate Zayn calls the boys. "Boys, dinner!" He hears footsteps coming his way and soon the three boys enter the kitchen and go sit in their seats.

Zayn helps Harry into his highchair and soon they are all sitting at the dinner table. Niall eyes the food in front of him, "papa I don't like this," he says, shoving his plate back.

Zayn mentally sighs, "Niall I want you to eat," he says, gentle yet a bit stern.

Niall pouts, "no."

Zayn decides to ignore it for now and talks a bit with his boys about how their day went. Louis tells him he is very excited to show Harry school soon when the boy will turn 4, even though he just turned three so its far ahead of them.

Zayn smiles and let him talk, it's nice to see him happy. Harry is talking about a episode of god knows what serie he watched today and how he wants to go into the bathtub with Louis later that night.

Niall is quietly listening and answering the questions his brother and papa ask him.

Zayn after a while sighs seeing Niall's plate is untouched, "Niall I want you to eat, you won't get anything else." Niall groans and crosses his arms.

Zayn shrugs and continues making conversation with his other sons. After a while Harry and Louis finished their plates, "good job boys! I'm very proud, who wants a dessert?" They both cheer and scream: "I want!"

Zayn chuckles and then eyes Niall, "Niall if you eat 7 bites you can have a dessert also, if you don't start eating you're going straight to bed." Niall mumbles something but starts picking up some pieces of lasagne.

Zayn gives the other two some cake which Liam made yesterday and he sees Niall is starting to eat a bit, he must be hungry. "You're doing well Nialler, how many bites did you take?"

"Five."

"Well just two more and you also get a dessert." Niall sighs but does as told. Once he's done Zayn praises him again, "good job buddy!" He ruffles Niall's hair and gives him a dessert.

The other two cheer also, knowing how hard it is for their brother to eat things he doesn't like.

"Niall once you're done shall we play with the truck?" Louis asks and Niall nods with a smile. Soon enough he finishes the dessert and Harry grabs his hand, "Come Ni!" He drags Niall and Louis to the livingroom.

Zayn watches them with a smile on his face. Being a parent can be hard, but it gives you so much love, he wouldn't want to have it any other way...

I know I know, Niall is normally the one who eats everything but this was interesting in my opinion. 😂
