I AM SORRY!

Have you ever done anything good in your whole damn life? EVER? Why were you even born in the first place? Everything goes wrong whenever you are nearby! EVERYTHING!

Our pack had been much more happier and peaceful before you came! How could somebody be such a disgrace? Do you even realise half of the pack is dead because of you? You are the sole reason of our misfortune! You'll bring ill fate anywhere you go! Why don't you just die already?

Nobody would ever want to be with you! NEVER! Ughhh! The alpha is dead! What will the pack do without him? Everything is your fault! It happened just because of you! Instead of that medicine we gave you, we should have poisoned you. And now after causing all these problems in our lives, after destroying everything you are gone!

Lisa was a crying mess by now. She was having a nightmare. She had heard plenty of these rants in her life but it still hurts every time somebody says something harsh to her. She can't help it though. She is very sensitive.

She wasn't awake, but somebody else was. Guess who? Obviously the one who could perfectly hear every sound escaping her mouth as if she was lying right next to him. Leo.

'What is wrong now?' he groaned as he woke up to the sound of somebody crying. It was 2 pm but everybody was still asleep due to the past events. He got up and rubbed his sleepy eyes trying to analyse the situation.

He soon registered that apparently the chocolate girl next door was crying. Again. He was annoyed and concerned but annoyed was what he would have agreed with.

He walked out of his room not even caring that he was just wearing a robe and not actual clothes. He knocked at her door and received no response in return. The door was locked obviously but he is the Primus, how could a big ass metal door stop him. He pushed the door cracking it open and breaking the lock in this process but who cares?

Her scent filled his nose as soon as he opened the door. He looked at her whimpering in bed. 'Might be having a bad dream.' He moved closer to her and saw how she was sleeping which made him chuckle. The sound that escaped his mouth, surprised him as he didn't remember the last time he genuinely smiled.

She was hugging a pillow and had her legs over another looking almost like a koala hanging on a tree with many other pillows surrounding her. The blanket was hanging on the edge of the bed for the sake of its life. Another sob was heard which brought him back to real world.

He absolutely had no idea what to do. How was he supposed to comfort her? He had never done this before. Should he wake her up? Should he pat her shoulders? Should he massage her head? Should he throw water on her face? He immediately eliminated the last option because it did not sound that convincing and comforting. He took a seat beside her still thinking about what to do.

His hand all of a sudden moved, as if it had a mind of its own, and gently caressed her forehead. She moved to his side mumbling an incoherent 'sorry'.

"It's ok baby." Those words escaped his mouth without any warning and he did not even notice. He then wiped her teary cheeks. Her skin felt so soft under his fingertips, just like velvet. He could almost see chocolate flowing down her cheek, dripping off her chin.

He shook his head lightly trying to dispel the thoughts away.

She stirred again and softly opened her eyes patting her long eyelashes, trying to adjust to the daylight. She rubbed her eyes cutely and then he came in her sight. She let out a small squeal and quickly sat up.

"I had to come here because you were crying. I'll go now." Without even waiting for a response he moved towards the door. She looked down at her hands attempting to process what just happened.

"By the way..."

She looked up again.

"The door lock is broken now." And with that he closed the door and left.

Back in his room he fought the urge to go back to sleep and decided to take a shower and then work. Who said the Primus did not work? He took whatever he saw first in his wardrobe not giving a damn to anything at all.

On the other side of the wall Lisa recalled instances of her dream and tears filled her eyes again. She tried her best not to cry but she couldn't hold herself back. She quickly ran to the bathroom and shut the door hoping that nobody would be able to hear her. She turned the tap on wishing that her cries would be drowned by the loud gushing water.

She finally let out a sob. Tears started staining her face instantly. She had to let it all out. It was impossible for her to keep her pain in.

"W...why does everybody hate me...hate me so much? Why am I...I the cause of everybody's sadness? Why am I so...so bad? Even my wolf...even she hates me. I have never met her in my whole...my whole life! Why did I not die yet? The world would have been...it would have been so much better without me. I am so sorry." She was crying her heart out now. She was in pain. "I am really...really very sorry. I am sorry!"

Leo was initially very irritated when his mind registered that she was sobbing again but her words made his heart sting bad. As if his heart was feeling the pain she was going through. His heart was pushing him to go and comfort her but his brain rejected and ordered him to mind his own business and continue what he was doing.

He could make out how terrible she was feeling just from her voice. His heart wouldn't just let it go. So he finally came up with what he thought was best. He got out of shower and called Lia ordering her to meet him in his office. He tried to ignore the crying which was ringing in his ear all along, hitting him hard.

He then left his room slowly walking to his office. What astonished him was that the distance did not affect her voice at all. He was still able to hear her loud and clear as if she was just beside him even though usually distance did affect sound clarity. It was just strange.

He was standing in front of his office now. The crying had stopped and she was breathing slowly as if trying to calm herself down. He opened the door and went in to just sit in his chair and think about what exactly was going on. He was never affected by people crying. It only annoyed him. But this time he was feeling sympathetic and even concerned.

Lia knocked at the door seeking permission to enter and earned a 'come in' in return.

"What is it Primus?"

"Try to ask Lisa about her past life. Talk out every important information you can. Ask Rose for help if you want to. I want useful information ok?"

"Yes Primus." She turned around and left his office. She went back to her room to get ready for the day. She had just rushed to Leo's office because she wasn't even awake before that. She would first talk to Rose about all this, plan something with her and then question Lisa.

Leo could now hear Lisa talking about how she always wanted to turn into her wolf on a full moon and run long stretches in the forest but wasn't able to do so, not failing to notice how she stuttered even when she was talking to herself. He was working and simultaneously listening to her as if a song was randomly playing in the back of his mind. He knew he would be able to hear everything Lisa tells Lia or Rose which was a good thing because then he would know exactly what she said, word to word. He was eager to know more about her even though he wouldn't admit that himself.
