I watch as dad works on a desk for a family in Seattle, Washington. We are taking it to a mr Kavanagh, he ordered the desk from on line and is having it delivered today. Dad worked hard to get the desk completed today. I am home from college for the summer and I have helped mom and dad with their businesses. My folks taught me their are always ways to earn money and if bored find something to occupy and multiply your skills and education along with earning money. My folks are wealthy in their own rights, but they believe in a penny earned is a penny saved. We live in Montesano during the summer, otherwise we live on the outskirts of Seattle. I attend Seattle U and work at their bookstore for extra income. I get mistaken for people's friends constantly at the University. I was accused of lying about who I was. Even after seeing my student ID they didn't believe me. My friends enlightened them quickly. They apologized and walked off, but I doubt they believed me. I am in social sciences. I am thinking of going into other fields.

My parents are very protective of me, I am their only child. My adoption was quite expensive according my parents, my birth was expensive. Amber and Steven Grey had no family at all and couldn't have a child they spent every penny the had adopting me. I worked from the time I got a permit to work. Mom and dad finally bought a small home in a modest area of Seattle. I worked hard making good grades and got scholarships to schools and college. I competed constantly with others for the scholarships.. Including two other Anastasias, luckily our interests are all different. Mine is publishing, the others are medicine and social sciences. So we haven't crossed paths at all. I won three scholarships and got all my college paid for. Someone beat me to the bookstore job. They did however found me a job in the student childcare areas. It pays more.

Grrrrrr Kate and Ethan are forever reminding me I am adopted. Mom and dad had started the adoption when they discovered they were pregnant again. Ethan is two years older than I am and Katherine is seven months younger than me. Mom and dad have had words with them, but they don't stop picking at me. So I have thrown myself into my studies and into medical studies. I plan on becoming a doctor. I have made nearly perfect grades in school. My siblings can't attest to that. I have been working hard and my trust funds of which Ethan and Kate thinks I as an adopted child should not received any trust funds at all. Our parents threatened to give theirs to me if they refused to stop torturing me about being adopted period. They stopped immediately eve though they wanted to keep doing it. Mom said if she hears them complain to anyone about me getting any trust funds again to anyone they will never get theirs. My friends have told Kate and Ethan both if they hear it again they will rat them out to our parents. Some of my friends are friends with their friends. I am your typical hard working medical student. I work in a medical environment part time. Edward and Lucy Kavanagh are thrilled I am becoming a doctor.

I keep getting harassed by people who think that I am lying about who I am. I refuse to allow them to see my drivers license. My name tag should be enough along with my boss telling them I am not who they believe me to be.
Kate
Anastasia why are you not working at the hospital?
Annie
I have no idea what you are talking about. I have worked here since the beginning of summer semester. You must have me mistaken for someone else.
Kate
Cut the crap I know my sister when I see her.
Annie
I don't have any siblings, sorry but I am not your sister.
Kate
Well wait until mom and dad finds out you lied about working at the hospital. Say goodbye to your trust fund.
Annie
Well if I had a sibling or a trust fund I might be concerned, but I am not your sister and you might give her a call on that fancy cell phone of yours to see where she is before you out her to your parents. Because I am not your sister. Look at this cell phone, is that something she would carry.
Kate
I dial Anastasia and watch as this girl listens as Anastasia actually answers her cell.
Anastasia
Kate I am in the middle of learning to put in an IV. Dr Grey is here helping so ask your question quickly.
Kate
Well I have just met your doppelgänger at the bookstore apparently. I am standing here looking at her and talking to you.
Anastasia
Okay whatever you are pulling now I have to go bye.
Annie
Satisfied now? Is there something I can help you find now that you know I am not your sister.
Kate
Not right now, but what are your hours? I need to bring my brother over to meet you.
Annie
I prefer you not know my hours that I work here thanks so much. I have other people to help if you don't need to purchase your supplies.
Kate

I head home and tell my mom and dad about the girl who thought I was her sister. Suddenly my parents asked me what she looked like?
