Monty

"Harper!" I called out to my girlfriend as I entered the classroom.

"Monty." She smiled and gestured me to sit on the chair next to her.

We talked for a while along with Raven and Finn until the class rang. Our teacher came in and just before he started teaching, someone comes in.

Oh, it's the chemistry guy.

"Jasper, you're late." Mr. Kane says and Jasper silently walks over to his seat while smiling awkwardly.

"Any reason that you're late?" Our teacher asked.

"Well- the bus was late." Jasper says awkwardly and Mr. Kane nods his head.

"Okay. Anyways, let's start our lesson."

"So to wrap it up, we'll be having a project. I've already made the pairs-" The students groaned when he had said that. Mr. Kane wasn't the best at making pairs.

He starts announcing who's going to be paired with who while I silently pray that I was going to be paired with Harper.

"Monty Green with Jasper Jordan." Shit.

I barely knew Jasper. Well, everyone barely knew him. He's mostly just remembered by that one time he tricked people into thinking he made an explosove but in reality he just made something that smellt like shit. Since then, he was recognized as the chemistry guy.

Everyone left the classroom after the bell had rang.

"Hey, can I get your number? Yknow, so we can talk about the project." Whenever we interact with each other, we talked like best friends even if we were not. We just knew each other since kindergarten.

"Oh, sure." Jasper says and I pull out my phone to give it to him.

He puts his number in the device and hands it back to me.

"See you later." He says and we part ways.
