Chapter 2 : "Moving in"

Y/N POV

Shocked from his own win y/n honestly couldn't believe it because of the lack of skill he thinks is shown but aside from that y/n is a step closer of making music more known then just mundane background noises,so y/n began to pack up his things (Like clothes,toothbrush,laptop,phone,ID,mini tool set *To Work On His Gadgets* and earphones) in a duffle bag and the rest of the stuff he wants to bring (DJ Set *Not DJ Out*,Acoustic Guitar,Electric Guitar,Microphone and a Microphone stand) will get delivered to him shortly after,then as he prepared on what he needed he went to tell his mother farewell then proceeded to get in a cab that is privately hired by the company that supported the games and as the driver dropped off y/n the driver said "Good luck out there kid" then left and y/n was faced towards the big tower around the afternoon and went in but before he went in the security guard stopped y/n and asked him for his ID which y/n quickly opened his duffle bag and got out his ID and showed it to the security guard which the security guard said "Alright young man you check out,to get in (points to the elevator) to your room you go through the reception and in that elevator it should show you the area you want to go to and good luck out their"then y/n proceeded to go through the reception and into the elevator which showed eleven buttons labelled (zero to ten) "Reception/Delivery,Cafeteria,Kitchen,Lounge,movie theatre,gym,Museum (Apex Related),Pool,Gaming Room,Rooms and lastly the rooftop which y/n pressed 9 for rooms and as the elevator moved up y/n put on his headphone and listen to some Lo-fi

But as he went past the kitchen floor he is somehow in the the lounge floor that looked very dim and hard to see with the only light being in the elevator so in confusion he pressed the Room button again but it appears that the elevator couldn't go up any further for some reason so y/n brang out his mini tool set and took off the panel between the buttons where there were clumps of wires and circuits however there was just one simple thing to fix which is just a cut wire that suppose to properly signal for the elevator to get to that floor,so y/n just quickly reconnect the two cutted wires together with the equipment from the mini tool box and pressed the room button but before he even had a chance to press the button a big bulky figure emerged from the dark dim lounge and said while in the elevator "Hey bruduh,You are gonna miss the introduction" with the sudden appearance of this big bulky figure y/n quickly took off his headphone and dashed further back in the elevator and nervously said "I-Introduction?" then the big bulky said "Yea bruduh,we introduce ourselves so that you feel comfortable around here,my name is Gibraltar what's yours?"still fazed from the sudden appearance y/n didn't have time to think about how he would introduce his name whether it's a codename or real name but before y/n answered Gibraltar insistingly said "Hey follow me Bruduh,we will introduce ourselves first,I wouldn't want to spoil anything" y/n then properly put his headphone in the duffle bag and began to follow Gibraltar further in the dark,dim lounge until a sudden light turns on within the lounge along with every legend that sat on the couch apart from crypto,wraith,revenant and pathfinder that remain standing while crypto and wraith lean on the wall in different sides from each other which made y/n very anxious and while y/n was standing in the very center Gibraltar said "Please Bruduh don't be shy,take a seat if you want and we will introduce ourselves"y/n complied and sat on a single chair that happens to be in the middle where y/n was just standing and as soon y/n sat down Gibraltar said "Don't worry Bruduh,most of us will introduce ourselves and just so you know you don't have to share if you don't feel comfortable.alright?"then y/n just nodded slowly which Gibraltar said "Well as you just know now my legend name is Gibraltar and my real name is Makoa Gibralter and I am thirty years old and throughout my life I have been devoted to help those in need and joined because of my friends and colleagues,anyone else?"then Lifeline impatiently said "The name's Ajay Che but in the arena the name's Lifeline and the reasoned why I joined is because I want to help people just like Gibby hea (here) but I signed up in the frontier corps to aid those in need but since we were running out of funds this was the fastest option in terms of money,signin out"then Bangalore said in a professional tone "sergeant Anita Williams AKA Bangalore and I came here to get some money for an expensive trip to see my family once again,Dismissed"then pathfinder awkwardly waved and said "Hi friend my given name is Pathfinder in the arena but I am model MRVN also known as Mobile Robotic Versatile eNtity but my purpose is unknown until I find my creator,by some probability in chance are you my creator?"then Mirage charismatically said "and the name of this beautiful and intan-tangent I mean Intelligent man is Elliot Witt but at the arena they call me Mirage and the reason why I joined is because...(Thinking)...why the hell not"then wattson cheerfully said "My name is Natalie Paquette but in the arena they call me Wattson and the reason why I am here is because I want to protect my friends who I call family,and that little fix you did in the elevator is impressive just letting you know"then Loba in a seductive tone said "All you need to know about me is just the name Loba but damn those songs you played are literal music to my ears can't wait to see what else you could do"then Mirage said "Come on Loba,he just got here"then Loba replied "Fine then"then without anyone realising it Wraith glared at Loba because of the tone she used but the glared stop when Octane introduced himself in a hyped manner "The name is Octavio Silva but amigo in the match i'm the daredevil known as Octane,remember that name" and since Wraith,Caustic,Revenant and Crypto don't really like talk much Mirage reassured y/n "Don't be anxious about them they just prefer to not share anything private which is fair because it is difficult to express"then Wraith suddenly introduced herself "I don't who or what I am but you can call me Wraith and sadly that's all I can say of myself" everyone in confusion apart from Crypto,Caustic and Revenant looked at wraith which Mirage pointed out "Wraith this is your first time sharing with us,what changed?"then Wraith fired back "Shut up Mirage" which made almost everyone look away apart from y/n but not long after y/n looked away in case Wraith would lash out at him but it was far from it which Mirage broke the silence "So anyone else wanna introduce themselves to the newbie?,no one? ok so newbie anything you wanna share with the group about yourself? If not it's fine"then y/n shyly said "My name is y/n l/n and I am nineteen years old and my legend name is DJ Wave''everyone was silent for a minute which made y/n question himself if he had said something wrong but Mirage addressed "WOW,are you even old enough to play?"then everyone apart from Revenant,Crypto and Caustic looked at Mirage with a death stare especially Wraith which looked like she was staring into Mirages soul which Mirage justified for himself "What...come one,I mean.....y/n is literally the youngest one plus besides doesn't he still have school?"then y/n shyly answered "w-well I don't have school because I already graduated in college,but don't worry even the students from college questioned about my age so it's fine"which made everyone that was death staring Mirage laughed a bit with wraith silently chuckling in the background then Lifeline said while laughing "He may be yuhng (young) but he still graduated unlike you......(Wheezes then went back to full on laughter)"then Mirage pouted "Yeah whatever at least I don't need to graduate for Holo Technology"then Gibraltar said in a suppressed laughter to y/n "Hey Bruduh wanna tour around the whole tower?" which y/n shyly nodded which Gibraltar said out loud "So who wants to give the new kid a tour?" at first Wraith was thinking of giving y/n a tour but Mirage said "I'll give him a tour Gibs,I will show him the legend life. What do ya say buddy wanna go?"then y/n shyly said "ok"then Mirage and y/n walked to the elevator but as they got in the elevator Octane,Loba,Wattson and surprisingly Wraith which Mirage sarcastically said confidently "Come on in because this is a deluxe tour after all"which Octane said "What's wrong amigo?,are we not allowed to hang out with the newbie?"then Loba added in a seductive voice "Yea Witt are we not allowed?,plus besides I got nothing better to do apart from listening to music"which Loba stared at y/n with a seductive look which made y/n uncomfortable the Wraith caught on what y/n was feeling due to his body language saying please stop which Wraith look dead in Loba's eyes and said "Can you stop that,y/n is uncomfortable"then Loba replied "Fine I will go easy on the newbie but I won't stop plus besides his music is something else"which Mirage said "Are you girls done?"then they stopped shouting which Mirage said "Well let's start from the bottom then work our way to the top"which y/n nodded then Mirage pressed floor zero which was where y/n just came from but Mirage while showing around said in detail "As you know this is the reception where you can ask that beautiful lady over there if you want to change rooms,ask questions or just ask her out if you want,but not only this is a reception but at the back of the reception is where the deliveries come in usually it is mostly letters from fans and not to mention the haters but if you ordered something online the delivery point is right here oh and you can also message back to your fans the ones that delivered to you but if you are like me beauty,brains,smarts,looks and charm it would take time to write your fans a letter,anyways that's pretty much it for this floor so let's go back to the elevator"Mirage then funnily gestured to get in the elevator which y/n and everyone that came along which Mirage pressed a button on the elevator for floor one and as the elevator stopped at floor one Mirage hopped out of the elevator and said while showing around the cafeteria "This floor is the cafeteria where you can buy whatever is available in this cafeteria ranging from multiple cultures"then Mirage gestured to get in the elevator which everyone that came did which Mirage pressed the button for floor two and as the elevator was still moving to the second floor Wattson said to y/n "How did you fix the elevator from before?" which y/n shyly answered "I know my way around technology because it's what I enjoy doing"then by the time they are on floor two Mirage in an italian accent said "This where you make a food,when you want mama's cooking,mama's got the kitchen"then Mirage walked them back in the elevator and pressed a button in the elevator for floor four which is the movie theatre and as the elevator was going up Mirage said "We already toured around the lounge part so we are skipping to the fourth floor"then as the elevator stopped Mirage give a tour around the movie and said "This floor is where you can watch movies in very high quality and the list of movies basically endless"Then as Mirage once again gestured y/n,Loba,Octane and wattson to get in" Octane said "Alright this will be my stop amigo and amiga,Gonna watch some pumped up action movies"then Wattson cheerfully waved Octane good and continued on with the tour which Mirage pressed a button for floor five and when the elevator door opened Mirage introduced the floor with a Russian accent while y/n is looking around "In this floor we work hard (Starts flexing and makes duplicate decoys doing the workouts in the gym) and play harder"then Loba laughed and said "My God you sound like you wanna make out with your decoys right now"the Mirage responded "Hey no one told you,you could be here Lobitch"then Loba angrily said "The hell did you call me DimWitt (Get it because Mirages last name is Witt)" Then Mirage started to recall his decoys and deploy them near himself doing Jojo poses and said back "ya heard me Lobes"then Wattson interfered and said "Come on guys we have a newbie here,please don't ruin this for him then Loba and Mirage looked at you for a second which Loba decided and said "I will be in my room (Then begins to face y/n),Dimwitt here will show you my where my room is"then Loba jumped out of the window and chucked her "Burglars best friend (tactical)" above,In concern y/n ran to the window and tried to find where and what happened to Loba but Wraith explained "Don't worry about her,she has a way around things especially high places"which y/n felt relieved about not witnessing a suicide and as y/n was relieved Mirage walked y/n in the elevator while Wraith and Wattson followed in the elevator shortly after and when they are in the elevator Mirage pressed the button on the elevator for floor five and before the elevator stopped at floor six Mirage said happily "This is my favourite floor" then y/n shyly said "Why?" then as the elevator stopped and opened Mirage introduced with all his might "Welcome to the Apex Museum,(Chuckles)Where every best,funny,cool,smart,badass moments are premiumly holo-recorded by yours truly (Deploys a Decoy that points to Mirage in a badass way)"then after Mirage finished his sentence he literally toured around with y/n,Wraith and Wattson and in very great detail Mirage explained and showed every moment worthy holo recordings ranging from clutches,teamwork,smart plays and luck,but the funny thing about this is the fact that for some reason Mirage is mostly the one being showed in most epic moments which Wattson giggingly said to mirage"Where's the holo footage of how I placed down my electric fence which caustic used to choke hold you and octane into my fence while I Melee eliminated Lifeline?"then Mirage whisperingly said which is still audible "We don't talk about that"and as it went dead silent and every part of the museum is explored Mirage quickly insisted "alright gang,let's head to floor five where the relaxin is now the chillaxin"which Mirage gestured y/n,Wraith and Wattson to get in the elevator and pressed the button to go on the seventh floor and as they were waiting in the elevator Wattson said "What kind of music so you like?,because I heard that you play multiple type of genres"then y/n shyly said "Pretty much every genre"and when the elevator opens Mirage got out of the elevator along with the other people that came and deployed a decoy in the pool swimming but it ended up looking a bit off but aside from that Mirage introduced "This is a pool area but unlike any pool this floor is like a beach with sand,water and waves but the walls are just like my holograms but it is able to portray blue skies and the sun that actually looks like it's there and even if its fake you can still have a beach like sensation,hell even I thought it was a real beach despite knowing damn well it's fake"then Mirage,y/n,Wraith and Wattson headed back in the elevator which Mirage pressed the button in elevator for floor eight and as they are in floor eight Mirage introduced in a happy way "This floor is the gaming area where there are multiple arcade boxes thingies with a ping pong table that play different games" then after that short explanation Mirage gestured y/n,Wattson and Wraith in the elevator and pressed the button for floor nine and before they were in floor nine Wattson said to Mirage "This will be my final stop,I need to quickly attend to my nodes"then before Mirage even thought on what to say the elevator stopped on the ninth floor which then Mirage pointed out to y/n "oh yes of course we have rooms in this floor but these rooms are seperated"which Mirage walked down the hallway and pointed at two hallways that divided the hall and continued "This way (Mirage pointed at the left hallway) goes to the rooms which is like any other room but with neighbors and for some reason (Mirage pointed at the right hallway)they made another hallway leading to its own room with it's own neighbors which is weird"then y/n asked "So um....where am I staying at?,b-because I need to put this duffel bag down so that my neck from the straps don't hurt me from this weight"then Wraith said out of nowhere "It's this way"then y/n,Mirage and Wattson followed Wraith to the left hallway and within the hallway it showed multiple doors leading to different rooms and as Wraith stopped at the door with the number seven imbedded on the door Wraith said "This will be your room" and before y/n opened the door Mirage in a jealous tone said "Lucky they allow you here bro,hell even bangalore agreed to let you stay here in this part of the hallway" In curiosity y/n asked "H-how come?"then Mirage said "Because this part of the hallway is basically girls only,but because of your well..song and all they literally wanted you in this part of the hallway"then y/n said "Well if you want we can swap?"as mirage was about to say yes Wraith said "No not this guy" then mirage quickly said "But he-"then Lifeline came out of her room and said to Mirage "No chance Mirage you talk so much that even the sound proof wall I bought didn't tune ya down a bit" then Mirage said once again "But" then Loba came out of her room and said "Desperate as always Witt,But I would rather listen to music then your mouth running at lightspeed" then Mirage in defeat said "Fine fine,Jeez"after the whole commotion y/n opened his room door and saw his room that looked plain but better than the average room because the room is about a size of a classroom that comes with an aircon,HV (futuristic tv using holo technology to display),double bed,a toilet,shower,cupboard and some tables.After inspecting the place y/n placed his duffle bag down on the double bed and motioned his arm to relieve it and shyly said "Thanks,my arm was about to die out"then Wraith said "No problem" which Mirage raised an eyebrow as if something was off and said "What's going on here?" in confusion y/n nervously said "What's wrong?,did I do something?"then Mirage said "Nah it's just that,she doesn't really talk much and when she does it's always something serious or impor-"then Wraith cut him off mid sentence and said "Am I not allowed to talk?" which Mirage then apologized and said "Oh......Sorry,It's just the sudden act (A sudden slight pause) anyways y/n take care of yourself bud if you have questions ask any one of us" which y/n nodded and Mirage took off to the elevator going down so y/n unpacked all of his stuff from the duffle bag which just took y/n five minutes because it was just simple and small stuff he brang and after he unpacked he just realised that he didn't go to the top floor at the rooftops but he also just realised that he got some stuff delivered so he went to the elevator and to floor zero where the delivery will take place and as he went to see the drop off point he sees three big boxes labeled "Mr (l/n)" so y/n took one box at a time because not only is is big but it was heavy but fortunately for y/n when he put the box in his room Loba saw so she pulled out a staff with a silver wolf imbedded on the tip and said "awww......could of told of told one us to help you with your luggage y/n" in confusion y/n said in a shy tone "Oh sorry but umm...what's that staff for?" Then Loba simply placed down the staff in the hallway that freakishly stood on its own then the upper half by the embedded wolf opened up then a pulse was emitted from the staff itself which Loba said while inspecting the staff "What stuff do you need up here?" Before y/n answered Wraith,Wattson and Lifeline got out of the room which Lifeline said with a hint of anger "What are ya stealin now?"then Loba explained "Don't worry Ajay,I am just helping out the newbie bring his deliveries"Then y/n looked at loba in confusion (with a shy tone) "How is that gonna work?"then Loba demonstrated by simply tinkering around the interface where the upper half of the is opened and said "Is it the last two big boxes?"then y/n nodded which Loba instantly teleported y/n's things where the staff was took place which shocked y/n because it's sudden use so y/n thanked Loba and proceeded to put the two big boxes in his room and began to unpack everything from these boxes then after y/n unpacked and cleaned up the place to put the unpacked stuff on y/n decided to work on his new song.
