Chapter 8 "Dark"

*Aubrey's P.O.V*
  When I woke up I still couldn't move I ended up going back to sleep again. My mom works a lot and is never home so I stayed in bed for two weeks. It wasn't till then I had enough energy to get out of bed and pee. I really needed to pee. It was still hard to move but I made it happen. I need to get back to school.I decided that I was going to take a shower because oh my God my hair is so dirty. I turned on the shower and got it warm. I checked this time to make sure there was a towel. I don't need to relive the hair dryer thing for the 100th time. I get in the shower and I already feel better. I grab my shampoo and start washing my hair. Once I had shampooed not once or twice but three times I then washed my body, and shaved. I grabbed my towel as I turned off the water. As I got out and wrapped it around my body I looked down. There was Snazzy and Kilala looking up at me. I was shocked at first because I had totally forgotten that I could see them now. I knelled down and picked up Snazzy. She was really small. I propped her up on my shoulder and went and petted Kilala. She was about the height of my knees but I'm only around 5'2.
  I walked carefully to my mirror trying not to let Snazzy fall off my shoulder. She did not get my grace. I set Snazzy down on the counter next to the sink and Kilala jumped up on her own. I need to go to school. I got dressed, did my hair and makeup, then walked to school.
  School was boring and I couldn't even go home once it was over. Carl told me there was a meeting today so I needed to go to this place right after school.
  As I walked into this building, which I had never been before, I got this bad feeling. Something wasn't right. As I walked further into the building the feeling got worse. I finally made up my mind that I could skip one meeting. As I turned around, Carl was right behind me, making me jump. "Carl, where is everyone else.?" I asked. His head was bowed and his hair down so I couldn't see his face. "This is just a meeting between you and me." he told me. I started to back away but he grabber my wrist, keeping me in place. "You're only a beginner and you already have two animals. You have so much power inside of you and you don't even know how to use it. Eventually you will figure your powers out and become so in control on everything. You could explode any minute. The power starts going to your head and eventually you go insane and kill everyone you know, then yourself." he paused. "Now I'm going to kill you before you have the chance to do it yourself." As he finally looked up a gasped. He was pale. Hair a mess. But the main thing that was different, were his eyes. With Bruce's power (his animal) his eyes would be gold but now they were black and red. I knew what this means. The power had gone to his head.
    He was dark.
  I tried to pull away but his grip just got tighter. I screamed for help but a sudden pain all around me began to grow. I can't breath because the pain is so unbearable. The room began to get darker as I realized he was killing me. Before I was gone I screamed to first thing I could think of.
  "MEME, KITTY, HELP ME!!!!" and right as the words came out of my mouth I was gone.
*Alexis's P.O.V*
  I'm sitting at home, trying to call Aubrey but I keep getting voice mail. I feel there is something wrong but I can't figure it out. I go to my room and lay down. I close my eyes and try to calm down. Maybe it's all in my head. As I start to doze off, the feeling gets stronger and stronger to the point I can't even sit anymore. I need to find Aubrey. As I'm grabbing my jacket and start to call Marie, I hear Aubrey calling or me and Marie to help her. Her scream is so loud inside my head it's as if she is screaming right in my ear. I run out the door not even bothering to tell my mom where I'm going . I call Marie and tell her where to meet me. I asked if she heard the scream and she said yes but she thought it was her imagination. We were both on our way as fast as we could on foot. I hope Aubrey is okay.
*Aubrey's P.O.V*
  I can't see anything but I can still hear. I hear laughing, growling, and pounding. Someone is at the door. I can only hope it's Alexis and Marie, but how could they hear my scream? I'm starting to come back. He hasn't killed me, just drained my energy. It's coming back just slowly.I'm tired, I want to go to sleep. Goodnight.
*Marie's P.O.V*
  I heard it. Her scream for help. Me and Alexis are outside the building. I don't know who is in there with her if she is even alive but we will never know until we go inside. I turn my head and look at her. She nods and we both burst threw the door. I'm already in cat mode as Alexis is in wolf. I spot Aubrey in the corner laying down, eyes closed, barely breathing as Carl is standing over her. I could see the electricity flowing through him. This is going to be bad.
