Rose's POV
I curled up in the soft grass. Inside the large foxhole, a giant cave lay. It even got light from a shaft of misplaced stone on the roof.
I was in the nursery. I was close to a wolf called Leaf. She had soft white fur and a patch of black on her stomach.
"Leaf?" I yiped and pawed the sleeping wolf. "Yes Rose?" She blinked. Her soft green eyes were narrowed in concentration.
"Amber told me that she would bring me another playmate." I whined and nipped my tail.
"Go see Wave. She might know when you're playmate is coming." I nodded. Wave had a mix is light silver for and white fur.
"Wave? Can I come in?" A soft whimper answered my call. Padding inside the large cave, I gasped to see a fluffy white wolf laying there.
"Wave...who's this?" I whispered and flattening my ears a nosed the body. Wave's dark blue eyes were full of sadness and she curled up with the white wolf.
"This...is...my....sister.....Snowflake." Wave sobbed and looking closely I could see a shallow cut close to her throat.
"W..Wave? What did this to her?" I whimpered and my whole body trembled with fear.
"A mountain lion." Wave replied and slowly carrying Snowflake, to the middle of the clearing.
"Hey who is this?" A white wolf pup pushed through the entrance. I blinked, "H..Hi I'm Rose."
The white wolf stared at me. "What's your name?!" I snarled. The white wolf flicked her tail and growled, "Sky."
