(modern au!) A good friend of yours keeps telling you about a guy they knows. Saying something along the line of 'you two would be perfect together!' Of course, you don't really want to be dating anyone at the moment, since you're at the peak of your career. But, one visit to a café you visit often, and meeting a kind Philosophy teacher, your world did a full one eighty.________________________________________________________________________

A new day, and (Y/N) was starting to head to the café they visited every Saturday. A good friend of theirs, (BFF/N), had been blabbing about this friend of theirs. And of course, (Y/N) didn't know the friend of their friend's name. So it was very confusing. The other person that had to deal with a friend talking about someone they should be with, was Obi-Wan Kenobi. A Philosophy teacher for a local high school. He also happened to be going to the café, hearing from his friends that it was a nice place to grab a bite to eat. He had to grade papers anyways, so why not do it in a decently quiet atmosphere? So that's just what he did.

After (Y/N) entered the café, and was greeted by the staff who usually worked on Saturdays, they went to their usually corner spot. But there was someone sitting there. Usually it was kept open just for them, but guess not. ".. uh.. hi-.. I usually sit here-" The man looked up, his glasses falling down his nose. "Oh! I'm sorry.. This is my first time coming here-" Obi-Wan started to pick up the things he had set out. "No.. wait.. you can stay here. I can sit somewhere else. Keep up the good work-" They gave him a gentle smile, and started to go to a different table. "Wait! You can sit here with me, I don't mind." Another smile was thrown into the conversation. ".. uh.. okay.." The table was big enough for two people. They slid into the seat across from the man, and wondered a couple things. What were the papers for, and why does he seem familiar? (Y/N) shrugged at the thought. "So, what's your name?" The guy across from them pushed up his glasses. "Oh uh.. I'm (Y/N)." "Odd.. A friend of mine has mentioned a person with the same name.." Now that's why the guy sounded familiar- "Is the person named (BFF/N)?" "Yes! You must be their friend. I'm Obi-Wan." He held out his hand to them. The person shook it lightly. "Do you know the origin of your name?" He smiled, as if he gets the question a lot. "I unfortunately do not, but my parents do like many ancient related things." (Y/N) nodded at that. "Makes sense, it does have an ancient ring to it-" The two laughed.

Awhile into the lunch rush, and after both people had a meal, Obi-Wan and (Y/N) have learned a lot more about one another. About how (Y/N) was doing very well at their job, and how Obi-Wan was a teacher at a high school, teaching Philosophy. Which brought the two into the topic of the Philosophers that were well known, and the teachings they pushed for. Both (Y/N) and Obi-Wan had a great time, and planned to meet up again, the next Saturday. They even exchanged phone numbers.

Frantically grading his papers, Obi-Wan got a text from (Y/N), about where they were going to meet up. This poor man was stressing out about all of the things that were happening. 'I'm very sorry, but I'm in the midst of grading papers so that we may only worry about one another today-' A text was sent to the other person. 'Oh! I totally understand. Take your time :)' A text was received. Obi-Wan sighed in relief, and then went to finish grading his papers. They were short essays on the Philosopher the students found to be the most interesting. Obi-Wan of course let them have the freedom of picking whoever they felt like, even if they weren't on the suggested list. Of course, he was smart enough to check if the students picked an actual Philosopher. A decent amount of the people who have taken his class like it, and he's proud to say a lot of people take the class out of curiosity. He's very proud that the students that leave the class delve further into the subject. (Y/N) on the other hand, was working as a (Job), and loved every bit of work that came with being a (Job). The hours could be long sometimes, but they didn't care. It was a job they had wanted forever, and it paid pretty well. Of course, this point in their career, it was a peak. They were doing a decent amount of work, and people at (Job) didn't bother them as much as they thought they would be.

At last, Obi-Wan was done grading the papers. It was about 4 in the afternoon, and (Y/N) didn't mind one bit that it took him this long. He must have a lot of students. 'Are you ready to go?' A 'beep' came from (Y/N)'s phone. 'Yes, I am. Are you coming to pick me up?' 'I was planning on it-' They laughed a bit at his response. 'Okay, my address is (House Number / Street Name)' 'Alright, I will be leaving in just a minute or so-' The person nervously looked out the window. How long will it take him to get to their house? That question rung throughout (Y/N)'s mind. Well, 20 minutes later, a car pulled into their driveway. Lo and behold, it was Obi-Wan. A smile came to their face as they went to wait by the front door. A couple seconds later, and there was a knock. "Hello there." Greeted the man. "Hello, Obi-Wan." "Are you ready to leave?" "Yep, let me just grab my bag-" A bag was grabbed, and the two went to the car that was parked outside. Well, after (Y/N) locked the front door.

An adventure was an understatement. These two went practically everywhere. The history museum, the same café the two went to the week before, a stroll along the city streets, aimless stops at stores that seemed interesting. (Y/N) was having a blast. It was around 10 'o clock after the two finished the escapade. "That was extremely fun.. thank you so much." The person pecked the teacher's cheek. A slight blush came to his face. "I'm glad you had fun." Obi-Wan pulled them into a hug. A sweet hug. "Would you like to do this again sometime?" "Of course." A night of fun came to an end, but it sure meant a lot more nights of fun were to come.
