Shawn's POV

Maddie will be here in half an hour to help me out with ny music. I needed a girls opinion on the song I've been working on.

  I got dressed and went down to the lobby and got two caramel búlee frapps from the small Starbucks in our hotel and saw Maddie waiting at my door.

  I sped uo my pace and handed her the drink. She thanked me, then we walked inside.

  After talking a bit, I decided to show her some of the sing that I had down all ready.

"That was great, but you should add something like bring up 'the past' in this relationship going on." She said.

  I gave it thought. Bring up the past, like something heart breaking. My heart dropped thinking about that. She doesn't know what this song, is truly about.

  "Shawn?" Maddie's voice brought me out of my thoughts. "Can I just ask something? What is this song about? I mean I understand that it's about heart break, but by the way you froze up when I said to add some past of a bad relationship, it seemed like there's a story behind this song?" She asked.

  "Your idea was great, so don't think I'm frustrated with it or something. It's just this song was thrown together after my ex girlfriend cheated on me with an old friend of mine." I said, my voice craking.

"Shawn, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. It's your song and--" "No, Maddie it's fine. Really. It is. I have an idea on how to fix this song up." I said smiling.

I began changing some of the lyrics to my song. Soon enough I was finished.

  I began strumming my guitar, and singing the lyrics.
