After we had sex one more time and he let me wash up in his private bathroom we sat on the couch together. He took a deep breath and confessed that he had developed feelings for me. He explained that even though he was my boss, he couldn't help but be drawn to MY kind heart and infectious smile. Jin acknowledged that dating as colleagues could be complicated, but he wanted to take the risk because he felt that our connection was worth it. I was surprised by his confession but touched by his sincerity. I admitted that I too had been harboring feelings for him but was hesitant to act on them because of their professional relationship. After some discussion, we agreed to give our relationship a chance while being mindful of maintaining professionalism at work.
Kissing him one more time and agreeing to a dinner date, I walked out of the office with a smile on my face and headed back toward my desk. Once I sat down I noticed everyone staring so I quickly got back to work. Hearing quick steps I look up to see one of my friends walking towards me laughing quietly I wait till she sits down. "Spill the tea sis. You were in there for like two hours!" Leaning closer I excitedly told her about my upcoming date with Jin. As I spoke, I could feel my voice bubbling over with enthusiasm.
She was happy to see me so smitten, but I could tell she was cautious. She reminded me to take things slow and not get too caught up in the excitement of a new relationship. Still, I could tell she was happy for me and that's all that mattered.
