Song of the Chapter: I wanna have your babies by Natasha Beddingfield
-----------------------------------------------------
“It’s my job as your husband to always make you happy.”
“Vinny!” Allister yelled from the kitchen. “Can please take Alvin with you? I can’t really do any work with me carrying him around.” He said while cradling the cutest baby boy he ever held in his arms.
Vincent sighed but still followed Allister. “He said, leaving his paints and canvass. He wiped his hands on the towelette beside his table and removed the paint-stained apron, placing it on the hook.
As Vincent entered the kitchen, a big smile formed on his lips. He cooed while walking to Allister and Alvin. Alvin tried to pull away from Allister and stretched his arms to his dad. Vincent gladly took him from Allister and Alvin laughed gleefully.
“I think he likes you more than me.” Alli said, with a bit of bitterness in his tone but still smiled at the sight of Alvin’s smile.
Vincent looked at Alvin then back at Alli. “That’s okay, maybe the next one will like you more.” He smiled.
Alli stared at him with wide eyes. “Not that soon Vinny.” Even though he wanted to, he was thinking of their financial status. With the increase in the prices of their daily needs and the never ending growth rate of the tuition fees nowadays, he thought that it would be better if they just take it one step at a time.
Vincent planted a kiss on his husband’s lips. “I think my trust fund can handle that.”
He shook his head but still smiled and blushed at what Vincent did.
“You know, I still can’t believe was cool with us being together and with having an adopted child after what I did during that wedding.” Alli shook his head again, now in disbelief, and still smiled.
“Me too.” He smiled as well. “Guess he does know when to give up and accept his defeat.”
“Guess so.” Alli pondered on what happened in the past year as he continued his work.
With the silence slow creeping in the room, Vincent opened again his liking to have another baby. “You know I’m serious about adopting another baby.” He opened as he rocked Alvin lightly in his arms.
“And you know as well that we can’t keep on depending on you trust fund, no matter how your parents, especially your dad, love Alvin.” Allister reminded Vincent, keeping his focus on the batter he was making.
“We’re not going to depend our lives on it, it’s for Alvin and Alice.” He said with a wide grin on his lips.
Allister raised a brow. “So you are serious with adopting another baby.” He said with the thought of it being a joke, but he was proven wrong. Vincent was serious. And with what they’ve been through, he knows very well that Vincent gets what Vincent wants.
It is somehow a little thing rich kids have in their genes, Allister thought to himself.
Vincent walked to the high chair and placed Alvin there as he prepared Alvin’s food. “Of course I am. Besides, you have your partnership with Brandon in his coffee shop and I have this art exhibit coming up next month.” He said as he scooped a pea-sized piece of baby food from the small jar of freshly mushed carrots and fed Alvin. “That would at least keep us alive for the rest of the year.”
