Sugar Melte was feared as a child, due to her tails. She thought they looked cool, and was curious as to why she had no friends yet. Espio had found her crying in a bush, and asked what was wrong, and the answer made it clear as to why she was upset. The Chameleon took her home, and, once Sugar had met Charmy, she was 'melted' by the fact that the Bee wasn't afraid. Espio since then had trained Sugar to use her ghostly tails in need of assistance. She had managed to learn how to turn herself completely invisible, all she has to do is spin around with her tails upwards. Espio was proud, and thinks of her as a sister now. Sugar is rather adventurous, loves climbing trees and pranking random strangers with her powers. She however listened to Espio's advice on not tricking kids, because they would most likely cry. Sugar is now being trained by Espio to become a ninja, just like him, so she can join the cases they get. She doesn't get along with Rouge very well, seeing as Rouge is quite a diva and is obsessed with gems, which in a way conflicts with Sugar's daring personality. Jazza is her best friend besides Espio, because they both love exploring, and trying new things, which leads to mischief, that Espio and Shadow have to put an end to quite often.
