Chapter 1 Beginning

Y/n Pov

I was sitting in the kitchen table, looking in disbelief at the 2 letters I got.
It has now a week past since it was decided to allow boys in Tankery and a lot of schools which do Tankery are now allowing boys.
So I immediately send applications to a lot of universities, only to be turned down by a lot of them.

And here were two more turned down, but this ones pained a lot.
They were from St gloriana and saunders.
Saunders was already full and my grades weren't good enough for st gloriana.

I put the letters down on the table and started to move towards my room, only to hear the door bell.

I went towards the door expecting my neighbor coming again to have a conversation or something, but not a woman in a suit in her early twenties looking at me with a serious expression on her face standing infront of my door.

???: Y/n L/n?

Y/n: ahm... Yes?

She didn't say anything, she just extended her left arm showing a letter in it.
I grabbed the letter with an questioned look.
She just nodded, bowed and wished me a nice day before going away.

I closed the door and went back to the kitchen sat down again.
I stared a the letter from a few moments  before opening it.

Dear Mister L/n

After we reviewed your application, we are happy to say that we decided to accept you to our university, the Volkssturm University formally known as Volkssturm Girls University.

Please come next Monday to the student council room to pickup your schedule.
You will have the possibility to join a club then as well, which includes after the new Rule passed by the Tankery federation the Tankery team.

I was a bit shocked at first, but the extremely excited.
I got accepted at university.
I decided to rush to the telephone to tell mom and dad.
They were happy for me too.

was currently standing infront of the gates of Volkssturm University.
The school building was big, very big.

Y/n: so...
Where is the student council office?
...
Maybe I should ask someone...

I looked around and spotted a girl with Red hair.
She was currently eating.
I walked over to her, which made her look at me and I looked at her.

Y/n: ahm excuse me.
I am having my first day today and I wanted to ask if you could show me the student council office?

She just nodded and motioned me to follow her.
We entered the building going to the end of the left corridor and stopped at a green door with the words "Student council office" on it.

I knocked at the door.

???: Come in

I heared a serious voice say so I entered the office.
I saw 3 girls.
One had long brown hair tied into a ponytail and blue eyes that had a very strict stare.
One with short blonde hair and brown eyes, she tried to avoid eyes contact with me.
The third girl had longer blonde hair and blue eyes with a big smile on her face.

???: Yes?

Y/n: oh ahm I am here to pickup up my schedule.
I am new here.

???: Then you must be Y/n L/n?

Y/n: yes, that is my name.

???: Alright.
Here is your schedule.
Your classes begin tomorrow and if you want to join any clubs please inform me.

Y/n: thank you and yes I want to join the Tankery team if it is possible.

???: That is decided by the overall commander.

Y/n: and where is she?

???: You are talking to her right now.
My name is Lucy Hannah Stierbaum.
I am head of the student council, overall commander and commander of one of our Panther.
The blond that with blue eyes and the big smile is Eva Steiner.
She is the Vice Commander and commander of the Maus.
And the one blond behaving so shy is
Gertrud Funaki.
She commands one of our Jagtpanther
And is the leader of the Jagtpanther squad.

Y/n: thank you for the introduction,
But am I now allowed to join?

Lucy: that depends.

Y/n: on what?

Lucy: your knowledge of tanks, if you know how to drive one, how the engine works etc.

Y/n: well... I know a lot about tanks, I know how the engine of a Panzer lV works and how to repair most damages inflicted to it. I know how to drive a Hetzer and I know a bit about the Tiger ll engine, bu-

Lucy: PERFECT!

She interrupted me.
She now sounded more happy.

Lucy: then I want to see you tomorrow after classes at the Garage for your introduction to the team and to show you the tank, you will be commanding.

Y/n: Commanding?

Lucy: yes commanding.
Was I stuttering?

She said with an anger hinting voice.

Y/n: No...

Lucy: ok. Now go to your dorm and prepare for tomorrow.

Y/n: what dorm?

Lucy: your dorm room of course...
I forgot to tell him about his dorm room and to give him the keys to it right?

The other two girls just nodded.

Lucy: oh...
Sorry for that.
Your dorm room is Number 694
And here are the keys.

She puts the keys on the desk and I grab them.

Lucy: ok now where that is done.
Out of my office please.
I have some paperwork to do.

She groaned loudly and I left the office closing the door behind me.

Y/n: So...
I am accepting at the Tankery team, I guess.
I looked back to the door.
These three are already an interesting bunch.
Lucy is very strict.
Eva seems to be the polar opposite.
And Gertrud is overly shy.
How will the rest of the team be?
I will have to wait until tomorrow to know the answer.
