Steps in the distance woke me up, loud echo was bouncing around the metal corridors somewhere around me. I slowly opened my eyes, my head hurt a little, I felt sick like the room was spinning.

The room I was in was rather small, with two other empty hospital beds on either side of me. I was naked under the itchy blanket. My body was slowly waking up.

I finally decided to sit down and look around for a way to escape. I wrapped myself in the itchy blanket and tried to find any sign of where I was. The only thing I could remember was my name Acacia and set of numbers. I rubbed my face with my cold, stiff hands.' What the hell is going on?' I asked myself. I looked around and noticed faint light in the corner of the room. I walked towards it, trying not to trip over in the slight darkness. The light was produced by a tablet laying on a small white desk. When I touched it, the screen welcomed me with a fist symbol on a golden background with letters FF floating around it. 'What the hell is FF ...' my head was pulsing, it almost seemed like something or someone, was blocking me from remembering stuff I should remember. I pressed the fist and small pop up window opened welcoming me to the operating system. After a few seconds that seemed like years, the screen turned green and I could browse the tablet. All three folders were full of medical data. In the search bar, I typed my name. ACACIA. The letters seemed almost screaming at me from the screen. I watched the loading screen impatiently biting my nails. My profile popped up and the first thing I saw was a picture. Picture of me, smiling on white background with black hair, olive healthy-looking skin and blue eyes. The profile stated that I was nineteen years old, 5'6 and regular mass- whatever that meant. I scrolled down the profile and was faced with a massive red FAIL at the end. 'what could I possibly fail?' I never was the smartest in the class but I never fail anything always got decent grades, how could I fail whatever test they were running? I instinctively scratched a little patch of risen skin behind my ear. What is going on I thought to myself. I took a deep breath and put the tablet down. It seemed like there was no door, but that could not be the case, because somehow, I was put here. Every time I tried to use my brain to think it hurt, it wasn't a normal pain though, it seemed far away and almost artificial, it felt like blockade or barrier that don't let my thoughts come through. I stood in silence for a while trying to figure out what to do when I heard steps coming my way I ran towards my bed and quickly lay on it, covering myself with the blanket. I closed my eyes. Bright, white artificial light hit my face on the left side. There must be the door on that side I noted to myself, and my brain started to pulse. The person who walked into the room was quiet, I couldn't even hear it breathing. I tried very hard to look natural and don't show them that I'm awake. After a few seconds, I heard that someone was writing something on a paper with a pencil, I recognised that the soft sound of a pencil dancing on a smooth paper. They were gone shortly after taking notes. The half-darkness was like a warm blanket for my eyes and pulsing head. I laid down for a few minutes just to make sure that whoever was in the room is gone, I got up and wrapped myself in the blanket, making a nice warm toga out of it. I walked in the direction where I saw the light. The wall was smooth with little indents marking the pathway. They were so small that I barely saw them. I moved my hand around the outline of the door, but there was nothing to press or pull to open it. 'Dammit' I said quietly to myself. 'there has to be a way'. I spotted a little table near the door I walked up to it and carefully inspected every inch of it. After a while I spotted a grate connected to a vent. 'bingo' I said almost too loudly. I removed the grate and placed it near the hole. I crawled into the vent and managed to seal roughly the vent with the grate. 'now where Acacia' I said to myself crawling down the vent.

A red light shined again from a large bulb above the computer.

'We have another one' said a tall scientist with long greying hair and strong jaw bone. She looked almost like giant head from the Easter islands but in a smaller version. 'Shall we start the purifying procedure Eir?'

"Please, Katelyn," said a small, rather a chubby lady in a way too small pink jacket. She had a sinister grin on her face... "Let's start it"

The bulb stopped shining red, white artificial light flashed being the computer, reviling a white room with a bed in it. Something was laying on the white cold surface of the bed. Long metal arm riches towards the top of the bed and after a few second you could see a small line of smoke coming up from the bed. After that, the metal arm backed up and the green light flashed up.

A cold robotic voice announced: IMPLANTATION OF THE 00073 IMPLANT...SUCCESS.
