Mimi's POV
A quiet evening...A quiet mouse...
I was in my room contemplating if I should confess or not. Mandy and I have been best friends ever since the whole "infection" thing.
I don't even know if Mandy even was lesbian, she always showed the sign of liking Giraffy...or at least I think so since she starts getting nervous and starts giving him the look of "Don't tell her".
They're probably dating by now since Mandy doesn't hang out with me all that often now. I usually just play crossword puzzles in my room all day, only going out to find something else to do. I even started talking to Poley and Robby; people I don't really like since Robby chopped her legs off and Poley is still hanging out with him. I understand she and Robby are now chill since Robby was infected or whatnot, but still...I don't want her getting hurt again.
I heard the mall door opening which meant Mandy was back since Poley and Robby were sleeping. I then heard a knock on my bedroom door. Of course I was surprised since she never really knocked on my door ever since we went "coo-coo".
I opened the door to be greeted by Giraffy. "How the dirt did you get in here?!" I remarked. "Mandy gave me the keys to the mall to tell you that she wanted you to go to the backyard where the diner of food is." He replied.
Of course he was always like this. Whenever you sent him on an errand he just says "My friend wants a bag of Doritos from aisle 6, left side, on the third shelf, right besides the popcorn yada-yada-yada". It's kind of annoying when it's you being told by the guy.
Anyways, he seemed very...giggly? He had the face of happiness and seconds away from screaming at the top of his lungs fanboying.
"So Mandy wants to meet me at the local diner?" I asked. "Yeah, she-has-the-best-surprise-I-have-ever-seen-in-my-whole-life-that-I-might-die-of-fanboying-go-on-hurry-up." He answered.
"Uh- Giraffy you okay?"
"COMPLETELY-FINE-GO-TO-THE-DINER!"
"Geez man take a chill pill."
"Just-go-to-Mandy-and-I-won't-talk-like-this."
I ran out of the room as fast as I could. Mainly to get away from Giraffy though. Part of me was saying "Mandy's confessing her love" while the other side was "Maybe she doesn't want to be friends anymore or she's explaining that she is now dating Giraffy".
A couple of minutes later, I arrived at the dinner with Mandy who had her robotic legs she stole from Robby's closet. She seemed nervous and...blushy? I walked up to her and clearly saw that she was even more nervous with me around.
"H-hey Mimi...l-lets w-w-walk i-in." She said nervously. I replied with an "are you okay?", she said she was just very nervous.
We got a seat at a bench that was in the private section. I asked her where she got the money for the private section and she replied saying that Penny's Grandma got the seats for her.
I decided to start a conversation involving her love life.
"Sooo...are you and Giraffy dating?" I asked. "I'm never dating him or any boy ever" she replied.
"Then why are you so nervous when we meet him and why do you always keep leaving the mall?"
"W-well he kn-knows w-who my c-c-crush i-is a-and I-I don't w-want h-him to t-tell anyone..."
"Didn't you just say you aren't dating anyone ever?"
"I-I said n-no g-g-guy..."
I spat my soda out and stared at her. She was lesbian too?! I immediately asked her what sexuality she was if she wasn't too uncomfortable with telling it.
"Y-y-yes I-I am l-lesbian..." She replied with a look of sadness as if she was disappointed of herself. "Seems w-we on the s-same boat there then h-huh..." I told her back.
She was surprised that I too was a lesbian. She had a look of hope in her eyes, we both did, even though I don't know why she had one...maybe she liked me as well..? I went into a trance of our life as a couple and started to fantasize a life again. Mandy broke me out of my thoughts as she said, "Mimi c-can you f-f-follow m-me f-or a s-second?".
I followed her outside the back of the diner to be met with a starry sky with balloons tied to the trees. My eyes shone looking at how beautiful the place looked. Mandy led me to a bench and looked straight into my eyes. We started at each other and I could see the blush on her fluffy light tan skin and her big cute nose. Her pink eyes were like the most shiniest rose quartz you could ever find.
After what seemed like hours of staring at each other, she told me "Forgive me if you don't like me." And then she kissed me. She tasted like strawberries and cream cheese. I relaxed under her touch and held her head in one of my arms, while my other arm was wrapped around her back. It seemed like the world slowed down.
The kiss broke as Mandy and I saw pictures being taken by Giraffy, Grandma, Penny, Bunny, and Daisy. We were both flustered as I realized why Giraffy was fanboying in the mall 13 minutes ago.
I took her by her hands and led her straight towards the mall into my room so we could talk.
In the end she apparently was with Giraffy trying to find the best times to confess to me and was nervous since Giraffy looked like he was going to say how much Mandy liked me. Everyone also knew about how we had crushed on each other and tried to make us kiss and things like that.
I'd say that tonight would be a memorable day for me and I would probably dread tomorrow seeing as how everyone would be stalking us trying to get pictures. But for now I'm going to focus on the little quiet mouse between my arms and hold her like an angel.
