My eyes snap open at the sound of my alarm and I glance over at my clock on my bedside table. 8:00. Holy crap. The trip we have been planning, looking forward to for years, is here. Tumbling out of bed I glance at my stuffed suitcase lying open on my bedroom floor. I tumble out of bed, tripping over a shirt on the floor as I go. Holding excitement I ran down the stairs to be greeted by Toby pouring cereal.

"Mornin"

"Morning" I reply

"You exited"

"Are you kidding," I say, laughing at his lack of enthusiasm.

"Your so lucky, I asked mum and dad if Tyler and I could go on a holiday and they said no"

"Well they said no when I was your age so I don't know why your complaining"

"When you're older, you're not old enough yet, you can when you're a little older" Toby says dancing around the kitchen in a high pitched, voice imitating mum. Waving his spoon around in the air and spilling milk as he went.

I laugh at his small rant as I put some bread in the toaster.

"Aren't you allowed to drink over there?" he questions, sipping the milk out of his bowl.

"Yea the drinking age is 16" I smile, spreading the butter into my toast.

"Mm that's no fair" he mumbles. Trudging out of the kitchen carrying his bowl of cereal. The blanket that's draped around his soldiers trailing on the floor behind him.

Rolling my eyes at my moody brother I shovel in my breakfast and head upstairs to shower and pack the last of my things.

I slip on my high waisted, black flair pants with thin white stripes down the sides and tight white t-shirt. I style it with a thin gold chain necklace and gold dangle earrings. Of Course I put on my rings that I wear everyday. I stair at them for a minute and all the memories of when I got each one come flooding back.

One of my favorites is my gold band that has 'PEACE' engraved on the front. My other favorite is my other thinner gold band that has 4 small rubies with 'given a chance' engraved all the way around the inside of it. My grandma gave it to me for my past birthday and I think it's one of the prettiest things in the world. I also have one that's shaped like a wave that has "she's not afraid' engraved into it. I smile warmly as I remember my friends bought it for me when they came to visit after my dog had passed away. I love my friends so much.

I twist my hair up into a messy bun and quickly fill in my eyebrows and put on some light mascara. I figured that, since i'll just be sitting on a plane all day I didn't have to worry about a full face of makeup. Not that I do that often or that I'm very good at it. Usually when I go out, I get Gigi to do my makeup. I still have no idea how she does it. It's art I tell you. Putting on my playlist of shuffle, I start to pick up clothes off the floor of my room.

My music blasts as I try to clean my room but just end up dancing around and singing into my hairbrush. You couldn't wipe the smile off my face if you tried. I collapse onto my bed as I take in the comfort of my bedroom that I wouldn't be seeing for the next two months. As I stare at the pictures of me and my friends that completely cover the roof, I decide to do a mental checklist.

Okay, chargers, wallet, phone..

My thoughts are quickly interrupted by my phone ringing.

I hesitantly pick it up and hold it away from my ear because I know what is coming on the other end.

I laugh as I hear happy screams echoing from the phone.

"Ahhh, IT'S HERE" Gigi screams as I imagine her jumping up and down on her bed.
