"Anna, please be safe, there's suppose to be a storm out in a few hours, please make it home safely."

"Don't worry about it, you know I'll be alright. You know I'm quite experienced in driving by now don't you?"

"Yes, but that isn't exactly what I'm worried about.."

"I'll talk to you later Ashton, don't worry about me. You know I'll be ok."

"Please be Anna, I love you."

"I love you too."

The phone let out a buzz as I placed it down into the passenger seat. I was driving late at night down this path, I've never taken this trail before, it was surrounded by trees and ponds. It was actually beautiful. In terms of civilization, there wasn't much to it really. I found a bit of land and a house ever now and then, but soon my view was surrounded by forest again. I live on a piece of Farmland surrounded by trees myself, though it wasn't as alone as this part of the area was. It was a strange part of the country. I was heading home, but I wanted to check out some of the scenery around here. Not many people talk about it as they should. The trail went on for long minutes it seemed before finally I saw something run out in front of my vehicle.

*Screeeech*

I slammed on my car's brakes, whatever it was scared the living hell out of me. Looking out through my front window I saw a deer running off into the distance into the trees. "Watch where you are going goddammit." I say to myself. I begin to drive back down the road, a large feeling of uneasiness ate at me,and soon I begin to see a rest stop by a small gas station. I take a look at my gas gauge and find that it's only a quarter full. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to fill the tank, and grab a drink. I severely need one anyway.

I park my car by pump 3 and begin to walk inside. Before I even reach half way, I stop in my tracks. Something about this area seemed off, why was there a rest stop in the middle of nowhere? Isn't that kinda bad for business? And most of all, It wasn't on GPS either.

I turn around a little creeped out and begin to walk back to my car. Making it nearly there, I stop as I hear a voice from behind me "Need something Miss?" Freezing up I turn my head slightly. "H-huh?" I let out. "I asked if you needed something Miss, you've been standing in that spot for a few minutes now just staring off into the distance, do you need to fill up your tank?" I was confused then, I swear I only stood there for a second before moving towards my car. It took me a second, but I soon faced the man. He was right. I was in the same spot I was before I turned around. "S-sorry, yeah, I was just startled by the scenery is all. It's very unusual to see a rest stop this far out here." I replied. "Mhm. Come inside when you need. Just don't wait out too long, it's freezing out here." He was right, I hadn't even noticed how cold it was out here. I didn't even have a jacket. Plus, it was about to rain. I need to get home.

Breaking out of my trance, I begin to head inside the gas station. It was so much more warm than the outside, not surprisingly. I turned toward the back and begin to pick up an energy drink. I decided the flavor I wanted of my energy drink, and went with a warm and cozy looking flavor "Warm Tropical Smoothie. Sounds nice I suppose." I make my way towards the counter and pull out two $20 bills. I put my stuff onto the table and ring it up. It came out to $5 with tax included. "The price is a little high for a 20oz drink" I thought to myself. "$35 on pump 3 please" The man didn't say anything. I turn around and begin walking out. I was sure I had everything I needed. Hoping I didn't forget anything. before long I was walking back outside. Wow, it was freezing out here. I wasn't in there that long, at most 5 minutes..

I make my way over to pump 3 and begin to fill my pump up. While doing so I begin to hear a small high pitched in-human sound coming from the trees. It sounded beautiful if it wasn't for the fact I was out here alone. It sounded as if a dozen wolves were trying to sing out. It sparked terror into me down to my bone. I wanted to get out of there. Finally I finished pumping the gas into my car, and turning around I put the gas head back into the pump. Then I heard it again. It was louder this time. Almost as if it was... Closer. I turn back toward the trees and I see nothing. Yet, I can hear the sound. Getting closer. I got into my car as the rain begin to trinkle down onto my car. Getting in I realized I forgot my keys. I must have left them in the store. Fuck.
