living together?

April 20th, 2020. It was a warm Sunday night

Quarantine got even more boring by the day. Chase, Madelyn, Rudy, Drew and, Elaine were cooped up in one tiny apartment in LA. Maddie's apartment.

Chase and Drew were looking at some fan edits and hysterically laughing at the Rarry (Rafe and Barry) ship edits. Maddie and Elaine were sitting in the two huge bean bags in the corner and watching "Love Island". Rudy was obviously bothered as he stared off into space thinking deeply.

Rudy then blurts out "Hey guys." Chase and Drew slowly look up, still smirking and the cheesy yet hilarious edits. Elaine and Maddie looked up quick because they had knew he had something on his mind.

"What's up Rud?" Elaine says worried. Rudy pauses "I don't know, I just feel like we can't do this quarantine thing for long I mean this is a two bedroom apartment." Rudy pauses again "I think we need to start going our separate ways. I mean Jonas is already whipping up some plans for Season 2 and it will come before we know.

Chase and Maddie instantly looked at each other. They have gotten significantly closer during all of this because its hard not to, it was clear they had a thing and they both know they liked each other. They didn't want to put labels on because Chase had just broken up with his past girlfriend of a couple years. Maddie had a worried look on her face. Chase exclaimed "I mean I think that is a good idea, despite all of this and plus if we start shooting sooner or later we need to see our families"

Rudy then chimed in "For the best, I'll book a flight tomorrow." Elaine then looked down at her shirt "I can be out as early as Tuesday"

Now Drew lived right below maddie in the same building so he kept quiet.

Chase continued to be quiet not saying anything and staring straight down to his ripped jeans. Moments pass and everyone grew really tired. Rudy said "i'm heading to bed I will see you guys tomorrow morning?" as he headed to the guest bedroom. "thats my cue" says Elaine as she also headed there as well. Rudy and Elaine slept in the guest bedroom. Nobody really knew what was going on between them but as far as they could see they were really good friends but they couldn't just assume. Drew made his way to the door and said "Later" under his breath.

Maddie and chase looked at each other. Chases piercing eyes seemed to make Maddie day dream a little. It was so so clear Maddie really liked chase. Chase came over to Maddie and sat right next to her on the bean bag and said.

"So that leaves us?"  Maddie looked down at her sweatpants and played with her sweatshirt strings which were both chases. "I dont want you to go." she said while starting to tear up. "hey, hey, hey mads. It's okay it's going to be okay i'm not going anywhere" he exclaimed while he grew closer to her and lifting her head up. so her eyes met his. Maddie looked confused. Wiping her eyes, she says while whimpering "what?"

Chase smiles and wipes under her eyes to get the mascara off. "If its okay with you" he looks her in her eyes. Maddie's face lights up and she thrusts her body towards him for the most powerful hug she's ever felt. Moments after, the hug ends and they just stare at each other in awe of each other. The tension obviously building.

"Um" says maddie. "Its getting late" Chase says as he gets up and helps her up as they walk to Maddie's bedroom. Maddie is still flustered by how high the tension just got. Chase climbs into bed while Maddie goes into the bathroom to take her makeup. Chase just looks at his phone for a while before getting up to check on Maddie. He walks in and she's halfway taking her foundation off. Chase leans up against the bed frame and just looks at her smiling.

"What are you doing chase?" Maddie says giggling not looking up from her makeup wipe. He says nothing and just keeps looking at her. "I just don't think you need any makeup." he says smiling. Maddie looks up and smirks and notices she's blushing and hides her face embarrassed. "Are you blushing?" he says playfully. Maddie starts giggling while still hiding her face.

"Just, go away" she says laughing and embarrassed as chase laughs and goes back to bed.

Once Maddie is finished she climbs into bed on the other side of chase with an awkward space in between them. They face each other as they stare into each other's eyes. Moments pass of them talking and cracking jokes as they both start hysterically laughing but then have to remind each other that they need to be quiet. After moments of silence chase says

"I love your laugh" Maddie once again covers her face in embarrassment as chase just laughs and teases "really dont need that blush do you"

Maddie faces the others way smiling and blushing hard. Maddie yawns as chase shuts off the light, still awkward space between them. Just as maddie's about to fall asleep she feels a warm touch around her hips, she feels chases hands pull her closer towards him as she gets major butterflies.

She turns her head over her shoulder to see chase half asleep but smiling hard. Soon enough their bodies were right next to each other. She could feel chases hand playing with her hair as she fell asleep. Chase soon dosed off to the sound of Maddie's heavy breath.

Content, chase was asleep after the night he least expected.
