Part 9

I was on the roof, eating lunch when I felt someone sit next to me. I turned to look at them and to my surprise, it was Shin. "Oh hello" I turned to look at the gloomy boy "He-Hello.." Shin wouldn't look at me. He seemed flustered and his face was very red, I guess he wasn't used to approaching people.
I noticed his hair was covered in chalk and he looked quite upset "what happened?" I asked even though I was sure I knew because it happened to me too. "B-Bullies..." Shin still avoided eye contact "oh.. They did that to me too.." I looked down, remembering that encounter, I remember how Umeji saved me.

"If they ever bother you again, come to me! I taught that bitch a lesson before" I suddenly grabbed Shin's hand which startled him.

I looked over to the side and saw the girl from before, Ayano. She was talking to Shoku which caught my curiosity, after she seemed to tell him something, he ran off.
I got up and took a few steps forward. "Wh-Where are you going?" Shin asked curiously, "I want to check something, you coming?" I looked back at my new friend who nodded and a stood up. I walked down to the first floor and I had the urge to walk to the fountain. I did, Shin following close behind me, and I stopped in my tracks, Shoku handed Amai a treat he made and she blushed, he gave her a complement and I immediately turned away, I grabbed Shin's hand and I dragged him away from the situation. I felt my eyes water and when I blinked, I felt tears fall down, I wiped the tears away but they kept coming out. "A-Are you o-okay..?" Shin asked, concerned of his new's friends emotional state. "I'm fine, class is about to start, you should get going" I said to him, not even looking at him. I walked away leaving the boy there.

I skipped class and spent the rest of the day on the roof, after school I decided to head to the cooking club. Upon walking in  I see Amai and Shoku chatting, Shoku looked over to the door and sees me.
"Y/n!" Shoku walked over to me, "you decided you join?" Shoku looked so happy but I didn't smile. "No.. I'm sorry but I decided not to join" I muttered, Shoku looked shocked but before he could get a word out, I turned around and walked away.

I decided to go home. I was walking when I heard multiple footsteps behind me, I turned my head to see Umeji and his friends, I didn't say anything and just continued walking, I felt a hand grabbed my upper arm and I immediately knew it was Umeji, I turned around with a blank expression, unlike his friends who were shocked and confused but Umeji didn't seem to care.
"I didn't see you in class" Umeji let go of my arm, his hands retreating to his pockets. "I skipped" I muttered, not really in the mood to talk to him, "Really? Goodie Two-shoes Y/n? Skipping, tch I don't believe it" Umeji snickered at me, earning him a stern look from me before I turned around to walk off.

UMEJI'S POV

"You guys go ahead, I'm gonna go talk to her" I looked at my friends who seemed confused "We thought you didn't care about her?" Hokoto spoke, "mind your damn business, just go, I'll catch up" I retorted before walking off into Y/n's direction.

Y/N'S POV

I was just walking, I knew Umeji was following me so I turned around and looked at him with a blank expression.
"Why are you following me?" I asked, I was not in the mood to talk. "I'm just... W..r..d.." I couldn't hear that last word. "What? Gah never mind, Look.. I've had a bad day.. I'm not in the mood to talk" I looked away from Umeji, my eyes not moving it's sight away from the ground.
"What happened? Was it that Cooking Club loser?" Umeji asked as he glance in the school's direction. I turned to face him "Why do you care?! I don't understand! You tell me you hate me and don't care about me! You tell me to stay away from you but you always approach me! What do you want?! What?! UGH.... I'm going home.." I turned away and started to walk home, Umeji just stood there in shock.

I slammed the door and ran to my room.

I'm sorry this was short, what do you think is Shin? What purpose will he have in the story? Or Geiju? Do you think Umeji cares about Y/n? Will Y/n confront Shoku? All that and more.... Next time:3
