Pandora's box
Has curiosity ever gotten you into trouble ?
This tale was told at the edge of a new era located in Ancient Greece, renowned for their divine myths of Hero's defeating beasts, damsels with atrocious curses and breathtaking legends of mythical creatures.
Word by word, this Greek tale has been told right from the young ancestors of the dawn the Greek civilisation then delivered to the youth of the presence and soon to be passed down to the generation ahead.
The story commences in a feud of raging men and a furious greek god.
The birth of the dispute was inserted within mount Olympus which was at a small, vulnerable but incredible planet named Earth.
At the time of earth's youth, only male species of human were living enjoyably well and alone.
Prometheus was their human leader. A mighty and victorious man known throughout history. The ancient gods created them. Hephaestus constructed their bodies whilst Athens breathed spirit into them and as for their king of gods, their chief god Zeus sat there, ruling the entire globe and within his immortal heart, he despised them gravely. Why? They were not worthy of him.
On a golden day, where nature awoke with a gleaming smile of Sun ray, stretching from east to west; gushing gentle colors of petals peaking out of their buds timidly. Water from the river laps over each other passionately in their free paths and the hollow trees whistled with the summer breeze.
To balance out the universe, that sublime day was adopted by Zeus and his human rivals to quarrel over.
The humans gathered a grand celebration that evening to hold in honor of devoting all their respect to their gods.
A gift was to be provided and one man suggested a sacrifice. The humans were remarkably astonished at strange but dynamic idea. No sooner than sunset, men hurried away to captured an innocent bull for the sacrifice before sundown but to the plan being so unfamiliar and questioned, what was to be a tribute to the gods and what was to be eaten by man?
An ingenious solution was planted into Prometheus's mind. He was to trick Zeus, simply because of his attitude towards the beings of earth. Zeus did not deserve affection if he offered non.
He helped slaughter the bull with delight in his mind of the idea. His approximate certainty of his plan drew a grin across his face as he sided the finest meat and made an imitation with the remaining of bones and fat.
On the elderly night of the celebration with a river of gleaming lights in the sky and delightful men; the plan was born. As prepared, Zeus was offered the tribute and blindly chose the cloned meat.
An outraged expression bolted upon the face of Zeus as the taste dawned on him."AAAAAAAAAARGH" a grand lash of erupting howls exhaled aggressively through his ginormous mouth. Anger was painted into the atmosphere deeply. Everyone was pierced with atrocious fear, everyone but Prometheus, who had an evil and joyous coat over his heart as he watched back his betrayed enemy.
Fire was seized from the hands of man as a punishment. Earth was not to ever feel warmth or cook again.
Prometheus felt guilt swimming inside him. Immediately, he ran to the isolated isles of Lemnos where the prodigious Hephaestus worked with fire.
Zeus was enraged. He swore vengeance so started on his wrathful punishment.
Hephaestus was directed to construct the most beautiful human of clay but a new type. A woman.
Athene, the goddess of wisdom also Zeus's daughter blissfully adored her and gave the figure a breath of life.
She was taught about life, womanhood and extra complex knowledge that men could not comprehend whilst the goddess of love, Aphrodite gave her beauty and grace and manners. Hermes gave her the gift of decisiveness and charm.
Zeus was pleased. The trap was titled pandora.
Meanwhile, Epimetheus was Prometheus's brother. A very beloved man, kind and trustworthy. He was the happiest being when he saw pandora on earth. They fell in love and got married so soon. Prometheus was the only upset one, he had warned his brother that all the gift of Zeus were a trap but Epimetheus was too in love and ignorant to listen to his advice.
The wedding was splendid. To the first marriage on earth ever, Zeus offered a beautiful box to pandora. Her only rule was to never EVER open it.
Earth was at the date where it was so at peace that not an atom of negative existed. Not one! Many years of happiness went thorough the couple.
On an innocent day. Pandora swept and wiped her home and found the box. From that moment of seeing such a majestic and interesting box, she couldn't resist that one rule and so strongly refused to it by placing it far from her sight in her house. The night approached and all she could think was the inside of the box and her forbidden rule. To her luck, Epimetheus was no where to be seen so she snook to the box cunningly. Before, her mind urged her to stop but it seemed so mesmerizing that her suspicion grew increasingly stronger than her abidance. She was deluded too hard to withdraw. Nearly boiling the blood within her, she desperately snatched it.
She was cooling down and taking long pauses with pleading inner voices against her actions but the box gave cries to escape. She couldn't think what the worst could happen, not to mention how closed minded she was to what negativity was was.
The key was grasped powerfully. She smoothly unlatched the lock with a simple turn. Her fingers slid across the frame if the lid delicately until the pathway was blocked by the lock and key. She paused. Deep breath in from her nostrils a slow and tiny breath out and carefully opened the unlocked and forbidden box as if it was made of sand, ready to collapse.
Out it all sputtered, from the smallest inch of being opened, clapping it wide open was foul and violent spirits of diseases, malice, arrogance, ignorance, greed, war, death, hatred, jealousy and all badness swarming around the room gruesomely.
They danced out the door to go intoxicate the earth wildly.
Pandora smacked the lid down angrily and the box was flying to the other side angrily. At that exact moment, Epimetheus woke up from the catastrophe.
Pandora was dramatically weeping. He was furious and offended from her disobedience but lightly lifted pandora to her feet. She grievously stuttered that she's ruined the earth. Before Epimetheus could reply he saw the clawed and bruised box whispering for freedom and he raised it . Pandora angrily grabbed it and told him not to open it."it's a terrible trap". He ignored her and picked up the lid to discover a small dim light at the corner of the box. "Don't cry pandora, I'm hope. Have me in this world and you'll never be defeated by this disaster. I promise"
What did you guys think of it then? Wasn't it cool! I love the way the ancients thought. Subhanallah history and everything about this cosmos is genius. Allah sbh is beyond the beyond.
