I rolled my eyes as the noise from the heart monitor repeated. She wasn't going to make it. I already knew. I had accepted it at this point. I didn't care anymore. I wasn't going to cry anymore. I wasn't going to spend countless hours wondering if she could make it. I wasn't going to sit in my room for days without eating thinking about what would happen to her. She wasn't going to make it. "Goodbye mother." I whispered as I walked out of the hospital room. I won't be returning to this hospital. Ever.
I left the hospital and went home. "Noya." I heard a voice call out to me. I turned around to face my father. "I will be leaving for America tonight. Will you be good here on your own?" My father asked. "Yes sir. I will be fine." I responded bluntly. He stared at me, his eyes filled with sorrow. I turned around and walked up the stairs to my room. There was really nothing to do. I was bored. I decided to go to sleep instead. Tomorrow would hopefully be a better day. Or at least less boring.
-Time Skip-
I had woken up earlier than usual. I looked over at my nightstand to see what time it was 5:30am. I climbed out of bed and got ready for school. Since I woke up much too early I was bored. I know exactly who would be awake at this time.

I grabbed my bag and ran to the park. I was so excited to see Hinata, I knew that his endless energy would immediately raise my spirits. He only radiated positivity and it could make anyone and everyone want to be his friend. He was a ray of sunshine.
Suddenly a buzzing noise had interrupted my thoughts. Shoyo was about 5 minutes away from the park. I started sprinting to make it to the park. "Noya! Hey!" I quickly turned my head and saw Hinata widely smiling and waving rapidly at me. "Hey Hinata! C'mon, let's get going" We started running toward the school. Hinata, as expected, wass much faster than me. We finally made it to school where we saw Kageyama standing at the front gates. "Boke! You're late!" Hinata rolled his eyes as he walked through the gates, ignoring the taller first year. I ran to catch up to Hinata. "Hey Hinata! I'm gonna go ahead if you don't mind"I called out to Hinata. "Yeah that's fine see you at practice!" Hinata responded as he ran to class.
-Time skip-
Finally it's time for practice. Class was so boring. Tanaka's seat got moved because we were 'talking too much' I'm pretty sure that teacher just hates me. Either way at least I was finally free from that dumb teacher. Tanaka had gone ahead of me so I was walking alone, until I saw a familiar head of orange hair. "Hinata! Wait up!" Hinata turned around a startled expression on his face. "Oh oops, sorry for scaring you there, haha." I stared up at Hinata. He looked confused. "Uh... Hinata are you okay?" Hinata rapidly blinked and looked down at me. "Oh! Noya, sorry I was kind of lost in thought there, haha." Hinata said smiling. "Oh okay! Well c'mon let's get to practice before daichi yells at us." Me and Hinata chuckled as we walked to practice. As me and Hinata walked in I immediately felt a pair of eyes on us. I looked around the gym to see Kageyama staring at us with daggers in his eyes. If looks could kill. I immediately looked away and made my way to the locker room. I changed and walked back into the gym. I saw Hinata talking to Tanaka. "I know I'm right Hinata." "Well guess what Tanaka, Fuck you" Hinata said grinning and walking backwards as he put his two middle fingers up at Tanaka. I laughed as I saw Hinata slowly backing into Tsukishima. "Watch it shrimpy!" Tsukishima yelled as Hinata ran away from the huge first year. Me and Tanaka were dying of laughter as Hinata looked terrified running toward us. "Wow you guys really couldn't have warned me" Hinata said rolling his eyes. "Of course not! What are friends for" I said as I did a broken heart motion with my hands. "You guys suck" Hinata said as he went to go practice with Kageyama.
