Not Bad at All

He's Beautiful

"WHAT??? OMG WHAT??? So wait let me get this straight. He smiled at you!?!?!?!?!?"

"And winked. He winked at me. HOLY SHIT EL HE WINKED AT ME!!!!"

Maya lay on her bed the phone clutched tightly to her ear.

"Well babe, what does he look like?? Do you have a chance??"

"Hes beautiful. And you know my rules.I will not date a guy. Not yet. Not for a very long time."

"Well who knows? Maybe its love at first sight! Maybe you'll be like me and Louis!

Maya loved Eleanor with all her heart, but she talked like she was in a fairytale. Maya had to admit, though, that Eleanor had really found her Prince Charming. Eleanor met Louis at a ball her school was hosting. They looked at each other, shared a dance, spent the night together, and three days later, announced that they were living together. Being seniors, they moved in together, without a thought. It was just love at first sight.

Maya sighed.

"Eleanor, just because everything's always right for you and your life is perfect, doesn't mean-"

"NO." Eleanor cut her off. "Do yourself a favor and stop complaining. Your life isn't bad hun. You just met the man of your dreams, you will go to a dance with him, fall in love, and-"

Eleanor's voice was cut off by a voice from the other end of the phone.

"Um- uh- Eleanor darling?"

"Whats up Loubear?"

"Ummmmmm.... c'mere."

"Why Lou what happened?"

"Wellllllllll... Don't get mad."

"Louis, what is it?"

"Ermm.... well.... You're... hmm. Just come in."

"LOUIS WILLIAM TOMLINSON. WHAT HAPPENED NOW???????"

"I'M SORRY! I DIDN'T MEAN TO!!!!

Eleanor sighed at the end of the line.

"You know, sometimes living with this man is like babysitting all over again. Hun, i love you but i have to go and take care of Lou. Just remember, sometimes rule are just basic guidelines, and you can break one now and then-even if you made it for yourself. And you and Zayn are gonna get married."

"EL!!!!!!!!!"

"Just kidding!!! Jeez, calm down haha!!! I'll call you tomorrow! TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS!! Cheerio!!" said Eleanor.

"Bye." said Maya, and she left Eleanor, hearing her screaming to Louis, "YOU!! GET OVER HERE!! NOW!!"

Laughing, Maya put her phone back on the hook.She thought about what Eleanor had said. About how sometimes she cold break rules. Bur her brother broke rules didn't he? And now look where he was!

"No," she thought. "These rules are not meant to be broken. Not yet."

Maya walked over to her couch, which was surrounded by boxes that were just unpacked from the moving van. People had been walking in and out of her house all day,leaving boxes of furniture and belongings all over the room. She picked up the remote to turn on the T.V., but she did't really feel like watching. Nothing was right here in this new house, nothing was the same.

She heard a knock on the door, "More movers," she thought.

"Just come right in!" she called. "Leave it on the left!"

"Um... Okay!" she heard a voice call back.

The door opened and a lad walked in. He was blond, about as old as Maya, and absolutely adorable.

"Wha- oh- what? Um, hi! Who are you?" Maya exclaimed as she scrambled off the couch to meet the stranger.

"Erm... my name is Niall! Niall Horan!!You told me to come in, and i just thought-"

"Oh no, it's ok! Completely fine," Maya said, flustered.

Maya looked at Niall curiously. He looked sweet and he talked energetically, but there was something different, softer about him- his voice.It wasn't the British accent Maya had expected, like Eleanor and Zayn had, it sounded more Irish.

"I saw that you had moved in next door to me so i baked some cookies! Here. I may have eaten a few," he apologized sincerely.

"Oh haha it's ok! that means that they taste good!" Maya laughed.

"Erm... well nice to meet you! I just wanted to come and say hi. So... hi! ... and... i guess i'll be on my way then!" Niall said.

"Ok then! Um... Nice to meet you, Niall!" Maya smiled as he walked out the door.

It was incredible. When Niall walked into the room, and energy filled it and she became so happy! It felt like he just brought happiness wherever he walked. Now that he was gone, Maya felt ten times happier, though the happiness was mixed with a sort of disappointment when he left.

What a weird two days.

She had just moved here, and she had already met two exciting lads. She didn't even know what life would be like, but she felt happier more sure of herself. Well, at least she knew that whatever happened, life here was sure to be exciting.

Maybe life here was not quite so bad at all.
