Chapter 1

I heard a weird buzzing sound causing me to wake up and I realized it was my alarm. My hair was an ugly mess and drool was all over my face, I picked up my phone to see what time it is and it said "7:23" and I thought to myself "OH SHIT I MISSED THE BUS"

so I jumped out of bed ran down the hallway and before I could get in the shower Bella beat me to it as always, and I yelled"BELLA IM GONNA BE LATE FOR MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL " and she yelled back "WELL SO AM I" so I just said "UGH FINE FORGET IT" so I ran to my room to my room and put on some black biker shorts with a nike hoodie and airforces and put on a little lipgloss and left my hair how it is just because i didn't really know what to do with it

and I rushed out and I begged and pleaded my mom to drive me to school and she grabbed her keys and said "It's time you got a car" "and a job" bella says as she follows behind" and I said "well maybe I wouldn't be so late if you weren't taking hours in the bathroom" and before me and Bella could rush out my dad stops me and says "wait sweetie let me get a picture for your first day of school" and me and Bella said "daddddddd" cmon it'll just take one second" he said with his crazy blonde hair and shimmering blue eyes

but then one second turned into 10 minutes then my mom got tired of waiting in the car and honked the horn and said "HENREY CMON YOUR GONNA MAKE THESE GIRLS LATE" "ok ok" he said and he kissed us both on the forehead and said goodbye once we got to the school 1st period had already started and me and bella went our separate ways

once I found my classroom it wasn't much as I expected most of the kids in there were white there were only 3 black kids then the teacher came up to me and said "aliyah?" and I said "yes that's my name" and she put me on the spot and said "class this is our new student aliyah and we should make her feel very welcome, and uh aliyah would u like to introduce yourself?"
and i willingly said "yeah yeah sure" but with my social anxiety it was kinda hard but I still tried my best "Hey I'm Aliyah I moved here from Michigan and I'm white and black I guess" and I scooted back then I heard one girl scoff then the teacher said "Ciera would u like to share with the clas what is so funny" yeah I just thought it was funny how she made her being mixed a personality trait" and the whole class started laughing expect for one boy offered for me to sit by him .

and he tried making conversation by introducing who he was but I was paying too much attention to this tall darskin in the corner and he noticed and said "that's jay he's bad news also known as Cieras property while he points her giving me a dirty look then she notices I have her attention and she walks up to jay and starts kissing him which grosses me out so I just start going on my phone

and before I could type anything and the bell had rung miyrah and emily obviously moved on with there life now i got to do the same with mine.
