It was an early morning in February when Melody would go to school for the first time in what felt like forever, she was sitting on her bed looking out her window as she let out a small breath. Janet was laying near her and had rested her head on Melody's legs, she glanced at the dog and put on a small smile "Thanks" she spoke softly as she gave the pup a small head pat. Melody's room was on the second floor so a woman's voice called up to her, this made Melody flinch somewhat as she shook her head and got up to collect her school things.
For this first day of school Melody wore some ripped blue jeans as well as a large black hoodie, her hair was pulled back into a ponytail and was hidden inside of her sweatshirt as it was rather long and she absolutely refused to cut it. Melody and Janet were now downstairs sitting on the couch as they watched the time, the woman who had called her down let out a small sigh as she looked at the two "Would you like a ride to school for your first day?" She had kindly asked but Melody stayed quiet for a good moment. "Sure I guess, but just today so I can get an idea of a route" Melody spoke softly. The woman just gave a small nod before going to the door and grabbing a jacket "Well then we should go on now, you have to go to the office before classes after all" The woman was doing her best to help out Melody even though Melody seemed to not care too much for it.
The car ride was mostly quiet on the way to the school, Melody had been watching out the windows the whole time as she did her best to memorize the way to the school and the way back as she planned on walking to and from school as much as she could. The car finally stopped and was in the school parking lot, the woman would have given or at least offered Melody a hug but Melody had already explained that she was rather against physical affection. Melody said goodbye and had gotten out of the car with Janet on her side, Melody had her hood up and her eyes down as she walked into the school, she could hear people whispering and just talking loudly, she already knew she would hate this. She had found her way into the office in which it was much quieter to her relief. Melody then walked up to one of the desk ladies but avoided eye contact as she began to speak. "Hello, I'm new here and was told to come to the office.. I'm Melody Adams if you need my name" Her voice was low and somewhat quiet but still loud enough for the lady to hear.

Countless times Eclipse had thought about just dropping out of school. The classes were boring, the teachers were boring, the kids sucked, but as much as he didn't want to admit it he needed it. Living on his own for as long as he had had taught him lessons that he may not have otherwise had. One of those was that life was expensive, and if he wanted to get out of the shitty situation he was in then he'd need a better job, which in turn meant he'd have to get an education. Maybe College wouldn't be so bad, but high school was a nightmare.
If there was one other thing he hated as much as school, it was the winter time. Winter meant he had to take the towns public transit to school, his motorbike locked up for the winter. Even if there was some way to winterize it, or get the clothes for it, they were expensive and he didn't have that kind of money to throw around. He had been lucky enough to scrounge the money together for the bike itself. So dressed in a thick hoodie and jeans, he set out for the day. But had he known what the day was going to hold, he would have stayed home. Before he even really had a chance to walk through the doors he was being called to the office. It was normal of course, he was constantly getting into fights with other students or even arguments with the teachers over not paying attention or some other stupid rule he was supposedly breaking. Grumbling to himself, the black haired male debated on just turning around and walking back out - and if it wasn't for the long ass wait for the bus or the temperature he would have.
