abysmal // levi x reader

"Ugh, his office is already clean. What am I even supposed to clean?", y/n said as she puts down her bucket and mop and started mopping the floor.

"Make sure you clean up every inch of this place". Levi said, crossing his arms in front of the door.

"Yeah, yeah. Told me that every single time". y/n rolled her eyes. Seriously, why am I the one having to do this?

After a few hours, suddenly the hall was filled with the sound of rushing footsteps and shouting.

"Connie? What's going on?", y/n asked, stopping Connie who's wearing his uniform, with.. ODM gear?

"Ah, I was just about to find you. Erwin called for you. We need to do some stuff".

y/n hurriedly went to Erwin's office. "Ugh, why is he here?", she whispered to herself.

"Y/n, we'll have to go outside of the Walls. We're going to wander around the forest since a lookout told us that the Titans there is getting too many".

"Okay, and?".

"You'll be under Levi's Squad".

"W-why? What about my squad?".

"They're going to help with Hange's. She went outside and lost a few people".

"But isn't that her own fault? My squad has got nothing to do with her. Not that I don't like her, but I'm a squad leader as well".

"Y/n, if you dare question my command, I'll show you hell", Erwin said with a straight face. He knows how troublesome dealing with y/n is since she's super stubborn.

But, she was appointed as a squad leader because of her good leadership and thinking skills, and not one of her squad members has yet to die.

"Well, if I'm under him, I'd rather be dead". y/n said, as her eyes lock with Levi.

"See? I told you she's not gonna listen. She's just gonna be a burden", Levi turns his attention to Erwin, asking him to not let her on the team.

"Pack up, we can't waste any more time", Erwin said before he grabs his cape and heads to the door. He gave y/n a begging look, asking her to just listen to Levi this time.

"Fine".

"Oh wow, miss hot-headed here cooled down?".

y/n stomped his foot and rushed down to a crowd of people. She gets past them and towards the stable.

She took Astral, her horse, and heads to the gate of Wall Rose. Everybody else was already leaving. She gets closer to Oluo, as Petra is still ignoring her.

"Where's your squad, y/n?", Oluo asked as she looked behind, there was no one else but them.

"You can ask Erwin about that if we make out of here alive".

Alright, I'll be sure to keep that in mind".

"Captain Levi! Eren was caught by a female Titan!", Petra said, bringing her horse closer to Levi's.

"Tch, Alright. Petra and Oluo follow me. The rest go with y/n!", Levi said as he quickens the pace of his horse, followed by Petra and Oluo.

Petra turns around to y/n and gave her a smirk.

"Girl? Did you just-", y/n thought to herself. She widened her eyes. Did Petra really think that Levi is her territory? As much as I hate that short 5'2 emotionless guy, he's not a prize for a competition.

"Leave the horses and use your ODM gear now!", y/n said as she flew to one of the tallest tree. Gunther and Eld followed her lead, and her intuition was right. There was a Titan, an abnormal one, running through and squashing Eld's horse.

Eld looked at his horse in despair. He had multiple horses before, but most of them usually died of old age.

"Eld, focus! I know that Ruby just died, but I don't want you to die in vain either!", right after y/n said that, the Titan came back and grabbed Eld from behind. It didn't eat Eld, but instead squashed him to death.

"Eld! No!", Gunther said as he gets closer to the titan in hoping to slash the titan's nape. It grabbed Gunther and knocks him down (note that Gunther didn't die, he can't use the ODM gear to save himself, it was too fast)

y/n tried to run far away from the titan, finding Hange as well. "I  can't kill it yet, it's a different Abnormal".

"Another titan?", she said as she saw a titan running towards Eren. She saw Petra as well, before she.. was kicked by the titan and squashed into a tree.

Right before she wanted to head over to Petra, someone stabbed y/n in her stomach. "An ambush?", y/n thought to herself before she lost conciousness.

y/n slowly opens her eyes. Her vision is still blurry, but there is an old woman in front of her. Suddenly, an old man enter the room. "Is it really her?".

The woman smiles and nods. "Our family's tattoo is on her ankle. It's truly her".

A tattoo? Y/n checked her ankle. There's 'e.n' tattooed.

"y/n? Do you remember who we are?", the man asked. y/n shakes her head. But the longer she looks at them, it ticks her.

"N..no way. Father? Mother?", she asked in surprise.

The two figures sighed in relieved. "But I thought you guys were dead?".

"Oh honey, if we don't have an accomplice to tell the government that, how could we live here?".

" I can't stay long, but I'm glad I got to meet you again, y/n", Elliot said before he leaves.

Y/n sits at the bed. The old woman came closer and sat near her.

"Where's Father going?".

"This is why we survived for this long, y/n. Because of our bloodline".

"Bloodline? What do you mean?".

"Y/n, you know how there's 9 founding titans ?".

"Yes, but what does that have to do with anything?".

"Can you just shut up and listen?".

y/n nods.

"Okay, so Ackermanns have what they call 'awakened powers', Reiss and Fritz are the only ones who can awakened the Founding Titan power. But, the Eversons, they have visions. You can only get it if both the parents are dead. And your dad here, his lifespan is getting shorter. So, once he die, I will follow him too. Understand?,

Though, I kind of wish Sara inherited the power instead of you. You know, you guys are twins, and only one of each child can have the power. So, the other wil have the illness".

Lilliana chuckled. She gets up from her seat. To be honest, she never liked y/n in the first place. Since she was a kid, her parents always favour the youngest. So, she thought to herself that she will only give love to her first born, Sara.
