Too much ground to cover. The taste of blood, the feeling of sweat dripping down his chest and face, his tears staining his clothes, the sick feeling pulsing his body, the thumping noises coming from a room he's not even in, nobody's home, except Jeremy Alves.
The thirteen year old boy was just one of the victims. He was only so young when he was given a chance to live a long lasting fear. A fear of the supernatural, paranormal world. Just the idea of ghosts terrified him. Everyone at school teased him for it. Yes, he was an outcast, not too many friends at his side. Although, there was one special person in his school life he would never let go of. Collin Evans. A thirteen year old with a passion for science and nature's greatest phenomena. Including the supernatural, paranormal world. Collin also wanted never to let go of Jeremy. They're inseparable, like two peas in pod. Despite having very different interests, they have managed to learn through their differences and become best friends.
Today in school, Jeremy has been doing a series of tests, assessments, and any missing homework, which was a habit of his. He often forgot his homework at home, or didn't do it at all. His counselor suggested that maybe this had something to do with his parent's separation. He laughed at the thought. His mother left the family when he was three. It absolutely had nothing to do with the divorce. His father didn't even talk about the divorce. His father almost always said that his mother was an idiot for sleeping with his cousin. His cousin was just about her age and never paid attention to his college classes. He was always too focused on retrieving a woman every night at the stripper club in Westin, Ohio, which was where Jeremy lived, on the far side.
This had always bothered Jeremy every time his father retold the story to him. Stripper clubs? Ew. There are better things to do than that.
Jeremy was finally coming out of such a boring place. For the end of the day, his father didn't come pick him up. He always took a bus home. Classroom 24 was his bus waiting room. This is where his favorite teacher, Mrs. Apex awaits him. She always sits at her desk with folded hands and a nice smile plastered on her face. He was almost certain that he was her favorite. Before class, she always gave him a lollipop before any other kid got to class. She never did this to anybody else, and no one has ever been a witness.
When he got to her room, she was sitting there as always with hands folded, and a smile. But, for some strange reason, this smile looked very grim and smirk-like. It was as if she had just pranked another teacher. When Jeremy went up to talk to her, she slowly turned her head to face him. Her eyes were red. Like, crimson, ruby red. Her eyes were never like that. Her eyes weren't even close to any shade of red. Thoughts swirled in Jeremy's head. This isn't normal. Was she poisoned? Is she sick? Why are her eyes such a color when her eyes were originally a soft, sea foam green? The worst part was that she was dead silent. No greeting, no lollipop. Not even a single word from her. Just this evil look glaring at him. It was about to get worse.
(How do you guys like the first chapter? I know it's not detailed and all, but my future chapters will be. If I can get likes on this, I'll make another chapter.)
