The Gryffindor first-years followed Percy through the chattering crowds, out of the Great Hall and up the marble staircase.
Celeste's legs were like lead again, but only because she was so tired and full of food. She was too sleepy even to be surprised that the people in the portraits along the corridors whispered and pointed as they passed, or that twice Percy led them through doorways hidden behind sliding panels and hanging tapestries. They climbed more staircases, yawning and dragging their feet, and Celeste was just wondering how much further they had to go when they came to a sudden halt.
Hermione clenched Celeste's hand As bundle of walking sticks was floating in mid-air ahead of them and as Percy took a step towards them they started throwing themselves at him.
"Peeves," Percy whispered to the first-years. "A poltergeist." He raised his voice, "Peeves – show yourself."
A loud, rude sound, like the air being let out of a balloon, answered.
"Do you want me to go to the Bloody Baron?"
There was a pop and a little man with wicked dark eyes and a wide mouth appeared, floating cross-legged in the air, clutching the walking sticks.
"Oooooooh!" he said, with an evil cackle. "Ickle firsties! What fun!"
He swooped suddenly at them. They all ducked.
'Go away, Peeves, or the Baron'll hear about this, I mean it!' barked Percy.
Peeves stuck out his tongue and vanished, dropping the walking sticks on Neville's head. They heard him zooming away, rattling coats of armour as he passed.
"You want to watch out for Peeves," said Percy, as they set off again. "The Bloody Baron's the only one who can control him, he won't even listen to us Prefects. Here we are."
At the very end of the corridor hung a portrait of a very fat woman in a pink silk dress.
"Password?" she said.
"Caput Draconis," said Percy, and the portrait swung forward to reveal a round hole in the wall. They all scrambled through it – Neville needed a leg up – and found themselves in the Gryffindor common room, a cosy, round room full of squashy armchairs.
Percy directed the girls through one door to their dormitory and the boys through another. At the top of a spiral staircase – they were obviously in one of the towers – they found their beds at last: five four-posters hung with deep-red velvet curtains. Their trunks had already been brought up. Too tired to talk much, they pulled on their pyjamas and fell into bed.
As Celeste herd all the girl's sleeping she shifted to a different position. She couldn't fall asleep! She got up in her emerald green silk Pj's and tiptoed over to Hermione's bed not making sure to wake up the other girl's.
Celeste had four girl's in her room, her, Hermione, Lavender and Parvati.
Celeste reached to Hermione and tugged her frizzy hair but to Celeste's disappointment, she didn't wake up.
But as Celeste was Celeste, she didn't give up! Celeste huffed in annoyance and sat on Hermione's bed causing the bed to creek at the two girl's weight.
"Hermione!" Celeste whispered as she shook Hermione causing Hermione to jerk up.
"Celeste! What do you want?" She groaned loudly still half asleep.
Celeste panicked, she didn't want to wake up the other girl's, "Shhhhhhhh!" Celeste whispered, trying to keep her quiet, but it was too late, the other girl's had woken up.
"What going on?" Lavender groaned rubbing her eye's but when she saw us the squealed quietly, "Are we having a girl talk here?!" Parvati also joined in asking. They both walked over and sat on Hermione's bed.
Celeste was about to explain when Parvati interrupted while pointing at my green robe's. "Really green? It's not like your a Slytherin! You're a Gryffindor, Red not Green" Parvati explained as Hermione kept making a cross sign with her hand's trying to say not to talk about that.
Parvati just stared at her weirdly.
"What!? Hermione what are you with your hand's? Do you want protection or what? Anyway, I have a solution! What about we go, this weekend, too Hogsmead to fix up this fashion disaster!"
Celeste and Lavender squealed in delight, Celeste loved shopping! But..... Hermione didn't, she shook her head and frowned, "you girl's go but I'm not going".
Celeste frowned, "fine, what about Parvati and Lavender go shopping while me and you stay here?"
They all agreed with her.
All three girl's went back to their bed's going back to sleep but Celeste still couldn't fall asleep!
Something was bugging her.
Even though she had started fresh what about Draco?
She started to cry softly, what will happen to their relationship?
She couldn't throw him away just like that!
He was her first ever friend.
She broke her promise.
