Chapter 2:
Spencer's P.o.v:
Aria, Emily, Hanna, and I were waiting for Ali in the barn. We were suppose to start the sleepover with all five of us here half an hour ago. She was late like usual. This happens every year for our Labor Day weekend sleep over.
"Sorry, I'm late. I had to take care of business." Ali said finally entering the barn.
"It's okay. We are used to it." Aria said under her breath.
"So, let's get started. What has happened since we last seen each other?" Ali questioned everyone.
"Spencer found her mate earlier today in the woods." Hanna answered for me.
"Is that true, Spencer?" Ali thought she would be the one to find her mate first. She's probably jealous that I found my other half first. She once told me that she couldn't wait to meet her mate and she dreamed about meeting him a lot.
"Ya, I found him while I was on a run." I answered.
"Who is it?" Ali asked with jealousy clearly all over her tone of voice.
"Toby Cavanaugh." I simply stated.
"He's bad news. Spence, you might want to reject him before he hurts you." Ali had a face full of concern, but she isn't concerned at all. She's not that good of an actor.
"Well, I'm not rejecting him and I highly doubt he would hurt me. He's really sweet and I like him a lot. I'm not rejecting him and that's that."
