I get off the Hogwarts express and hear someone calling my name. "Mia! Mia Moon!" I turn around and see a African American young boy with black twisted hair. It was Liam Charles, a 14 year old Hufflepuff and my bestfriend since year 2.
"I've missed you Mia" Liam says as he hugs me, "so did I Liam!". "Now we can talk about boys like last year, some of them look way better" Liam says as we both giggle.
Liam is Gay and has been for a year, I was the first one to know, he told me then cried in my arms because he was afraid nobody would except him.
But this year is different is what I keep telling myself. Liam and I walk to the boats and see the Gryffindor trio. "Look at them, thinking they're better then everyone else" Liam says as he eyes them, "Liam don't be rude I think they're nice, well maybe just the boys". Liam makes a confused face "What makes you say that?"
"Well last year I was daydreaming in charms class and that Hermione threw a book at me and said you're a raven-claw! pay attention!".
"How rude" Liam says, "but what were you day dreaming about anyways?" My face goes blank and cheeks feel like their boiling up, I look at Ron Weasley and say "well..". But before I can say anything someone wraps their arm around me.
I looked them up and down, it was Draco Malfoy. He has gotten so tall I tell myself, I quickly remove his arm from my shoulder and say "what now Malfoy".
"Hello Mia, how was your summer?" Draco says with a smirk. I roll my eyes "Just leave me alone", Draco scoffs "you're going to have to get with me sooner or later". I push Draco away with my shoulders "whatever Malfoy". Draco walks away with Crabbe and Goyle
"What's his problem Mia?" Liam says, "well over the summer my mother and Lucius Malfoy wanted me and Draco to be a couple but I don't want to date him, they said it would keep the pure-blood in line"
Me and Liam walk into the great hall after the boats, Liam say "well I guess I'll see you later, I'm gonna go meet some of the new kids" he then goes and sits at the Hufflepuff table. It was then time for me to take a seat at the raven-claw table.
Talking to people is kind of hard for me, that's why me and Liam are such a good match. I'm the brains he's the mussel, I walk over to a girl with black hair and almond eyes. "Hi I'm Mia, Mia moon" I say as I put my hand out, "hello I'm Cho Chang" she says as she shakes my hand". I take a seat "oh your the girl Diggory is dating!".
Cho chuckles "we aren't dating.. just talking anyways are you new here?"
"No I'm not, but I'm really quiet so you've probably never notice me" I say
