Ch. 2 - An Eevee-ntful Night

As we walked into Viridian City it was almost nightfall. The sun was setting making the city look magical. It was truly a sight to see.
Ash and I walk forward. I was holding Eon, who was extremely exhausted.
I made a mental note to myself to give her a bath once she was healed. She had clumps of dirt in her fur, and some matted up clumps as well.

"You two! Stop now!" A voice yelled from behind us. We turned around to see Officer Jenny driving towards us on her motorcycle with an angry look on her face.
"What's going on?" I ask nervously.
"What's going on is that you two are under arrest!" She said pulling out handcuffs.
"WHAT?!?" Ash and I both squealed.
"That's right. There's been reports of Pokemon thieves, and by the looks of those Pokemon you two are holding-" I cut her off.
"M'am, you've got it all wrong! These are our Pokemon! We were attacked by a Fearow flock!" I defended.
"Yeah, see!" Ash said as he pulled out his trainer card and Pokedex.
"Hm, I guess you're telling the truth, but we have a Pokemon emergency! Hop into my motorcycle!" She said as she got back on it.
Ash and I shrugged and got into the side car.

It was a tight squeeze but we managed. Ash was so close to me it caused me to blush.
"Jade, are you okay?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say nervously while blushing more.
"You kinda look like a tomato." He says while poking my cheek. I sigh. Oh Ash.

We soon sped off really fast. I held on tightly to Eon. We were going so fast on a bumpy road she could fly off if I'm not careful. The Pokemon center was in full view now, and she wasn't slowing down. I nervously glanced at Ash. We were getting closer and closer.
"Aahhh!!!" I screamed as Officer Jenny ran us right through the door. Ash and I sweat dropped.

"What in the world?!" We heard someone say. A woman with pink hair came out of another room.
"Sorry Nurse Joy but this is a Pokemon emergency!" Officer Jenny exclaims.
"I understand that but next time, don't crash through the building." Nurse Joy says.
Ash and I got out of the sidecar so the officer could leave.
"Nurse Joy please help, our Pokemon are really hurt!" I say and rush to the counter. Both Ash and I put our Pokemon down. Eon was barely conscious but Pikachu was out cold.
"Chansey we need two stretchers stat!" The nurse called out. Soon a pink oval shaped Pokemon came out. It had what seemed to look like an egg on it's stomach area. Chansey pushed two stretchers into the room and quickly, but carefully, put Eon and Pikachu on their respective stretchers.
"I really hope they're okay." I say turning to Ash. He just looked down in response.
"Ash...?" I say slowly while putting my hand on his back.
"This is all my fault." He says grimly.
"If I hadn't of done what I did none of this would have happened. I could have killed us. I put your life in danger..." he turns away.
I quickly embrace him in a hug.
"Oh Ash, I know you meant no harm, and I promise you I'm not mad or upset. You were just excited about your journey, none of us would of thought that would happen." He slowly returns the hug and we stay like that for a little while. 

"THERE YOU TWO ARE!" We heard a somewhat familiar female voice yell. We looked up and saw the red headed girl from earlier. 

"Excuse me?" I say getting up and walking towards her. Ash still sat in his sit with his head leaning on his shoulders. The girl was holding a burnt up looking bike. Uh oh, oops. 

"YOU TWO BOTH OWE ME A NEW BIKE SO PAY UP RIGHT NOW OR I'LL GET OFFICER JENNY!" She continued to yell. This girl is starting to irritate me.

"Look,  we don't have the money right now, but I promise we'll get it to you." I say calmly.

"NO NOW!" She yelled, again.

"Look! I don't know you but stop yelling! Our Pokemon are in horrible condition at the moment because of that Fearow flock! If we never took your bike we'd be dead right now! Now is not the time for this childishness!" I say slightly raising my voice. The girl looked slightly taken aback by my outburst.

"I'm sorry." She says apologetically.

"I'm Misty by the way." She says after a moment of silence. 

"I'm Jade, and that's Ash." I say pointing to him.

"Is he your boyfriend?" She whispers to me. I immediately turn red all over. Ash? My boyfriend? I do have a crush on him, but still...

"Um, no no, we're just friends." I defend a little awkwardly. She smirked obviously knowing the situation. 

"Anyways, I'm sorry we got off on the wrong foot. I guess it was kinda immature for me to make a big deal out of a old bike." She says while sweat dropping. I giggle slightly at this. 

"It's okay, I could see why you would be mad at us."  I say with a grin. 

Soon enough nurse Joy comes out smiling with both Eon and Pikachu. I rush forward as Eon jumps into my arms.

"Oh, Eon! I'm so glad you're okay! I was so worried about you!" I say while hugging her close.

"It's okay Jade! I'm glad you're okay too!" She says and licks my face. I look over to see that Ash is doing the same. I smile at the scene before me. Ash and Pikachu were hugging and just being delighted to see each other again. I guess Pikachu is starting to like Ash now. 

"Oh! I better let Stormy out! She's probably worried sick." I say to myself and Eon. I pull out Stormy's pokeball and let her out. I was immediately tackled to the ground. 

"Jade are you crazy!? I'm so glad you're okay! And you too Eon! Jade your memma would have killed you if she knew about this!" The yellow rodent said scolding me. I chuckle at this and scratch her ears. She cooed in delight. 

"My turn!" Eon exclaimed while nudging her head on my free hand. I scratched behind her ear as well. 

"Ash, can we stay at the Pokemon center tonight? I'm beat out." I say turning towards him. 

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea." He says while picking Pikachu up. 

"I'll probably stay too." Misty says. 

"Alright, then it's settled." I say while getting up. 

"Nurse Joy, could we have three rooms please?" I ask. 

"I'm sorry I only have two available." She says. 

"That's okay. Misty, would you mind sharing a room with me?" I ask.

"Of course not." She says with a smile. I get the two keys for our rooms and hand one to Ash. We go our separate ways and to our rooms. There we're two beds in this room so it worked out perfectly. As soon as I hit the mattress I felt instantly tired. Eon curled up by one side of me, and Stormy on the other. 

I can't wait for tomorrow.
