Chapter One
The Comp
"Hell yeh Jak!" Ashlin yells as she see's me catch a wave at least 6 foot as I go down the wave crush's nicely above me.
"That was a sweet wave Jak" say's Ashlin
"thanks but I I thought I saw a shark O well" I say
"ahaha you have such a creative mined" Ashlin says.
As we go home I see my old house where I grow up with my mum and two sisters "hey Jak you will find them one day I promise" Ashlin says
"I know but I just wish I had some idea where they are" I say as I look down.
As I get home I see Keira running out to hug me "Jak we have bad news" she says
As I run inside I see the cops and the news reporters "what the fuck is going on here!" I yell
The Cops bring me into my room and say "Jak we are very sorry but you mum has been found stabbed to death" The Cop says
As I hear this I start to cry and say "what about... sisters"
"we dont know about them yet but as soon as we find them we will tell you we promise" they say
I walk outside to sit down on the beach. Keira walks up to me and sits down next to me and watches the waves with me "there is a comp on this weekend" She says "it might get your mind off things"
"I don't know Keira I have been through a lot" I say
"for me?" She says. I think for a moment and then I hug her and say "anything for you"
=Saturday Morning The Day Of the Comp=
As I get up I put on my wetsuit and have breakfast "you ready?" Keira Ask's
"Yeah, I am" I say as I grab my board and get into the comby.
I get there and all the company's are there Quicksilver, Rip Curl, Billabong and Roxy
"um... you didn't tell me about all this pro componays being here" I say
"I didn't know" Keira Says
"Hey Jak just think of it yesterday nothing but you and the waves" Ashlin say's the first siren goes to get ready "good luck Jak" Keira says and hugs me the second siren goes I run in the water and try and get past the crush zone as fast as I could. I get out to were the waves are perfect but so are about 10 other people, I think to my self 'should I wait til l get a good wave or try and get the wave now. here comes a perfect wave it is now or never' I paddle to catch it but so does one other person who looks very strange like I know her from somewhere. I paddle as fast as I can and I am on the wave with the girl on it to she trys to knock me off but I just get on the wave. I get back into the tube and then went up and did a sharp turn back into the wave. as I go into land the judges gave me a 25 out 30 "nice wave kid" say's Ashlin
"Thanks" I say "let's just see what the judges say about the other people" we watch all the other people surf one person got a 20/30 and a couple of other people got 15/30 and 23/30 but no one was beating my score and then out of no where the girl who tryed to get my wave before caught a wave at least 3 to 4 foot and went into the tube and then the wave crushed her "Shit someone needs to get out there" Ashlin say's
I run and grab my board and paddle as fast I can to go and save this girl. As I get out to where she got smashed I couldn't see her I look again and again but I couldnt see her and then I see a hand pop up I paddle and grab it, I pull her up and paddle back into shore the life gaurds run up and do what they had to do. Keria runs up and gives me a huge kiss "that was amazing what you did Jak" Keria blushes
"Hehe thanks" I say.
