THE BASEMENT
Sam had always hated the basement. There was strange noises. There was rats and spiders. Nobody went down here unless they needed to.
Even Sam's father, who was as brave as the heroes in movies, hated the basement.
Sam shivered, imagining a thousand spiders clinging to his back, with their hairy legs and beady eyes.
Sam eventually felt something with his hands. It was rubbery, and felt folded. Sam swung his arm around in a circle, but now he had somehow gotten surrounded by the rubbery substance.
Just then, at that very moment, the lights flickered on.
All around the young boy, beings were standing around him in a circle.
The creatures were naked, and had pale gray skin. A wide smile stretched across their faces.
Their heads were much too small for their bodies, and they had tiny little ears.
The most disturbing thing about them was their hands. Imagine the hands of a human, only thicker, then stretched down until they touched the floor, and at the end of each finger, bloody claws.
