****** I was placing my books in my locker when suddenly someone stood behind me, and before I could even see who it was they closed my eyes with both their hands. I panicked and elbowed whoever it was in the stomach.
" Ow! That hurt." A voice I recognized to well, yelped with hurt. It was Elijah , Elijah was a senior and he's actually the one that helped me get the job at Harry's cafe. We both work together, so it's nice that we actually get along in both work and school, even though I'm a junior.
I turned around, slowly " That's what happens when you creep up on a girl!" I said while rolling my eyes, boys. I turned back around and closed my locker shut.
" I didn't think it would've hurt that much" he said. We were both walking to his locker.
The school was very crowded because people didn't like to get to class early, people would like to talk with their friends and or significant other before going into first period class. Which is what me and Eli were doing , we were waiting for Jane and her boyfriend Raymond to arrive to school, they loved the idea of being late. Jane was in my grade while Raymond was a Senior with Eli.
" Well never underestimate a girl." Was all I replied to him . We stopped walking and leaned against Elijahs's locker, which Is where we would all meet.
" You know... there's a party Tomorrow and we should all go" he said while scrolling through his phone, probably twitter, he was obsessed with that app. I was personally more of an Instagram person but whatever. I just stared straight out in front of me, looking at all the students walk by.
Party? Don't get me wrong I loved partying but sometimes I'd prefer to stay home and binge watch Netflix. I wasn't against partying like Jane was, I actually found partying fun and it made me forget about everything once in a while.
I looked up at him and realized he was already staring at me, waiting for an answer.
" Sure, why not" I shrugged and looked away from his intense blue eyes. I went back to looking at the people in the hallways when I realized that Raymond and Jane were coming towards us. Jane was walking ahead of Raymond with watery eyes and Raymond was walking behind her with an annoyed face.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I said with concern laced in my voice, I reached out to grab her, seeing as she stopped directly in front of me, and pulled her into a hug.
Raymond was now leaning against the locker next to Elijah. He pulled out his phone and said " Don't worry about her, she's being dramatic. You know how girls get." I was never really close with Raymond like that, I only tolerated him because he was dating my best friend.
I looked up to look at him, still hugging Jane. " How do girls get? Enlighten me since you seem to have girls all figured out", I scoffed and rolled my eyes when I was met with silence.
