I opened my eyes to the screech of owls and the smell of cinnamon.
"Blimey Nova, you're going to be late for class." It was Harry Potter himself standing over my bed; only years younger then he should be. He looked about sixteen.
I looked to my nightstand to see an old-fashion alarm clock that read '9:23am.'
I jumped up in sudden confusion and panic.
"H-harry." I couldn't help but stare. The fictional person I'd read about, and watched movies of was speaking directly to me. And no, it was not Daniel Radcliffe, it was 100% Harry Potter. The boy who lived. I reached out and touched his arm to validate he was real. I felt the soft texture of his robe, and the hardness of his bicep.
"Yes.. are you alright?" He looked concerned.
I scanned my eyes around the room, noticing the several other twin beds scattered around; the suitcases, and owl cages. I fingered the blankets draped over my body that had a vintage pattern designed among them. I stepped out of the bed onto the cold wooden floor, and noticed the shimmer of light coming in through the blinds. I looked out the window to see the Dark Forest and Hagrids house. To my amazement, I was clearly at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
"I'm perfectly fine," I replied to Harry, "extrodinary."
"Brilliant. Anyways, come along then. Hurry and get dressed before we're both late. Don't want detention from Snape." Harry said in disgust.
"Severus!" I gleamed.
"Severus." Harry nodded with displeasure, "I'll see you down there, okay?"
"Okay. And Harry?" I mumbled.
"Yeah?" He turned back to face me.
"Thanks for waking me up. Good to see you."
"Uh, good to see you too. No problem." He replied and then continued out of the dorm.
I haven't felt this much joy in a long time. Though the average person couldn't relate to being happy while in a rush to class, I was finally home.

I put on my robes, the colours were black and red, symbolizing Gryfinndor. They felt so soft and warm. I looked in the mirror and gasped in pleasure. My brown hair was now black, my eyelashes were longer, the bump on the bridge of my nose was gone, and my skin was clear and glowing. So many of my flaws were now non-exisistent. I've never felt so confident in my appearance.
I rushed down to class, somehow knowing my way around the castle like I'd been attending Hogwarts for years. First class was Potions with none other than Severus Snape. It was so hard to rush to class when the artiquecture of the school was so beautiful. I could sit and talk to the paintings all day if I could. But I was only able to say 'goodmorning.'
"So sorry I'm late." I entered the classroom.
"10 points away from Gryfinndor." Snape snarled, and then started talking about the lesson.
I heard sighs, and saw eye rolls from my classmates also in black and red robes.
"Sorry." I mouthed.
"Why were you late?" Hermione whispered beside me. I didn't even realize that I chose a seat beside her, though no complaining that I did.
I felt starstruck. Hermione has always been one of my favourite characters.
"I-I slept in." I answered.
Hermione frowned, "At least Snape didn't get too angry with you."
It was almost depressing having Snape as my teacher. Knowing what was in store for his future and personal things that others didn't know yet about him, broke me. If only they knew that he wasn't the villain.
