I was in the Gryfinndor common room when an owl flew in and dropped a piece of paper onto my lap. I unfolded the paper and there were directions written down on it. It was apparent that these were directions given by Draco that would lead me to his dorm.
"What's that?" Harry asked, looking over my shoulder.
"Nothing interesting," I chuckled and stood up, "I'll talk to you guys later."
"Where are you going?" Hermione questioned.
"Just on a walk. I need some.. space."
Hermione looked to Harry with a bit of concern.
"Alright." She finally responded.
I exited the Gryfinndor common room and followed the directions Draco had written out for me.
"Good evening," one of the paintings on the wall said. It was a man sitting on a rocking chair.
"Thank you. Good evening to you too," I said back to him and continued on.
I got onto the moving staircases and scurried off where I needed to exit before they moved again. I started down the hallway and continued to walk it for a long while. Finally I saw the dorm room number 238. It was Draco's dorm.
I knocked on the door with almost as much force as my heart was beating. The knob slowly turned and the door opened. Standing in front of me was a guy in a suit, and my eyes trailed upwards to his hair. His bleached hair. Before I had the chance to say 'hello,' Draco grabbed hold of my arm and pulled me inside his dorm.
"I missed you!" He kissed my cheek then lips. My stomach twisted in excitement.
"I missed you too, Draco." I scanned my eyes around the room. The place was surprisingly tidy, there was a book shelf stocked with plenty of novels, a desk, and a green lava lamp. His dorm room was very desirable.
"Draco, your dorm room is so nice. I'm so jealous!"
Draco looked to the floor, seemingly in embarrassment and slid his hands into his pockets. He shrugged.
I walked further into the dorm room. There was a keyboard in the corner.
I slid my fingers along the keys, "you play piano?"
"A little bit." Draco looked uncomfortable. I'm assuming that he doesn't allow others in his dorm room often. It's his only source of privacy; maybe his only source of safety.
"Play me something."
He sat down on the piano bench he had in front of it and he patted on his knee. I sat down on him and he wrapped his one arm around me and placed both his hands on the keyboard.
He started to play a song and hum. My heart was melting in my chest. I could listen to him play for an infinite amount of years if I could.
When he finished he looked back over to me and shyly smiled.
"That was really good. You should teach me!"
"Sure, here." He gently placed my fingers on different keys.
I could barely remember the chords and Draco and I kept laughing.
"Well, your playing makes me feel a bit better about mine." Draco smirked.
"Oh shut up!" I swatted at him. I'd have to get used to these snotty remarks. For some reason though, coming from Draco, the comments he made were attractive.
Draco grabbed my cheek, and slowly leaned in and kissed me. This time, we kissed longer than the other times before. Draco and I stood up and somehow made it over to his bed. He guided our heads to the pillows and we continued kissing for awhile. Eventually we stopped and I was laying in his arms. We stayed like this for a long while.
I opened my eyes and looked at Draco's alarm clock on his desk. It was 2 o'clock in the morning.
Crap! I shouldn't be here! Hermione, Harry and Ron must be wondering where I am. I tried to move but it felt like Draco's grip on me got stronger.
"Babe.. babe.. wake up." I said.
Draco opened his eyes and sat up.
"What's wrong baby girl?" He mumbled.
"I have to go. We fell asleep. It's 2 in the morning."
"Stay." He looked at me like an innocent puppy.
"I can't. People will wonder where I've been off to."
"Okay. Do you need me to walk you back to the common room?"
"No, you go back to sleep." I kissed him and crawled out of the bed.
I opened his door and walked back to the Gryfinndor common room.
"Miss Carson!" It was Professor McGonagoll. She was in a night gown, hair braided, and bags under her eyes. I almost wanted to run up and hug her. However, I knew I was in trouble.
"P-professor."
"What do you think you are doing this time of night?"
"I was just..sleep walking." I nervously smiled.
"I don't know if I believe that. 10 points from Gryfinndor and off to bed now!"
"Yes Professor. I'm sorry."
I seriously lost Gryfinndor a total of 20 points already! I practically ran back to the common room. The lights were off but I noticed a figure on the couch.
"Harry!" I jumped. I wasn't expecting anyone to be awake.
"Where have you been? I've been worried about you."
I didn't feel like lying, so I gave him the truth.
"I'll tell you. But you've got to promise you won't tell anyone. Not Ron, not Hermione, okay?"
"Okay.." Harry's eyebrows knotted in confusion.
"I was with Draco."
"You mean.. Malfoy?" Harry looked disgusted.
"Yes. Please don't tell anyone. It could ruin everything."
"Why him? What's so special about him?"
"I can't really explain it."
"Well. Being as you were alright all this time, and simply busy snogging Malfoy, I suppose I'll head to bed then."
"I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was worrying you. Thank you for the concern. Waiting up for me was really great of you."
Harry nodded.
"Did-did you tell Professor McGonagoll that I was missing?" I couldn't help but ask.
Harry didn't respond for a few moments, making the silence in the room uncomfortable.
"I had to make sure you were okay." Harry turned around and walked over to the staircase that lead up to the boys bedrooms.
Was he mad at me? I mean, I feel bad that he's been awake all this time. I suppose I'd make up for it tomorrow.
I walked up the staircase to the girls bedrooms and got into bed. I closed my eyes, taking in the vibrant smells of cinnamon and the rain pattering on the windows. I then drifted off to sleep.
