Chanyeol took Baekhyun to the blind school a week later, when the weather had thawed, but there was still a slight chill in the air. He watched as Baekhyun played with the kids, radiant as the sun. He told the kids how Loey was baby crazy when they were abroad, babysitting in two neighbourhoods at that time, how Loey used to bite his nails when he was worried, humming while he did so. Chanyeol had grinned at that, wiggling his own raw bitten nails.

Mostly he just listened to Baekhyun. How they adopted Toben, the story of how they'd gotten married. Loey and Baekhyun. Chanyeol felt a fit of sheer jealousy towards Loey. How the man had experienced everything that Chanyeol could only dream of. He wondered how it would be to be given a chance to love the man freely. Wildly.

If he was just Loey, maybe he was very happy and very lucky with Baekhyun.

"You've been quiet today." Baekhyun mumbled into his mouth. Chanyeol kissed him again in reply. It was nearing sunset, and Baekhyun had insisted on going up to the terrace. Chanyeol had readily indulged him, unable to say no.

"Did you like today? The kids?" Baekhyun sounded a little hesitant.

"You worry too much." Chanyeol mumbled, pulling Baekhyun closer to him. They lapsed into another comfortable silence, the breeze chilly and cold, until-

"Ah it's happening." Chanyeol laughed a little at his enthusiasm.

Baekhyun sat up. "How does it look?"

Chanyeol looked at Baekhyun. The sunset reflected in Baekhyun's eyes, turning the rich browns into hued oranges and gold with flecks of mauve. He was beautiful. And just like that, Chanyeol was in love. With Baekhyun's steady flame, he was leaping and burning.

"It's beautiful." He murmured to Baekhyun.

Baekhyun rolled his eyes. The colors whirled. "I meant the sunset, you silly."

"Not as beautiful as you." Chanyeol laughed, scooping Baekhyun into his arms.

He was taking Baekhyun home. He kissed Baekhyun, pressing him against the door, wild and fiery until Baekhyun had mouthed something about the bedroom that sounded far more enticing.

"L-Loey," he gasped "We can slow down?"

He couldn't. He wasn't Loey. To have Baekhyun call him by his name seemed so irrational, Chanyeol would take what he got. "Been waiting for so long," he rasped, his mouth trailing fire over Baekhyun's skin, only letting it go to draw gasping breaths.

Chanyeol picked Baekhyun up until he was straddling him, moving to rid them both of the clothes. Only when Baekhyun touched his cheek did he realize that he had been staring. He'd never seen the man in front of him naked. Baekhyun was beautiful. His body was soft, and he smells so good. Chanyeol wanted to worship him, wanted Baekhyun to see how much he meant to him. He gently shifted Baekhyun's face so that he was looking at Chanyeol. Chanyeol could see the night sky reflected in the orbs. His whole little world.
