Broken Heart

Brad's P.O.V:

I woke up feeling pain all over my body. I didn't get into a fight. I didn't work out. No. I slept on a chair. You heard me, I slept on a chair last night. A very small, plastic, uncomfortable chair while Dinah gets the soft, luxurious chair. Nah I'm kidding, her chair isn't exactly luxurious but compared to mine it is. As i look around, it seems as if Lauren is still asleep while Dinah appears to be waking up.

"Morning Brad." Dinah says in her morning voice.

"Morning. Let's grab some food." I say.

"Sure."

We quietly walk out and head over to the cafeteria where Dinah and I have pancakes and orange juice. 

"So, should we bring some food for Lauren or what?" Dinah asks.

"Umm, if I were her. I think I'd like a break from hospital food so sure." I say.

"What should we get her?" She asks.

"Let's get her the pancakes. I know she loves them."I say.

"Aww, that's so sweet. You even know what she likes. What a gentlemen." 

"Stop. I just know what my friends like. That's all."

"Really? What does Mani like then?"

"Yeah, I have to spend more time with her to find out ya know."

"Then, I dare you to spend quality time with Normani for 3 months."

"What?!"

"Well, that's about how long you spent with Lauren so let's see what you can find out."

"OK deal."

Right on cue, the meal was finished and we took it to Lauren's room. When Dinah and I were near her room, we heard some voices. Two, to be exact. 

"Hey babe." One voice said.

"What are you doing here." Lauren said, sternly.

"Look, I'm sorry ok. You don't know how much I hate myself for what I did and those girls did. It was very wrong of me to do that I know."

"OK firstly, you shouldn't have been hanging out with them in the first place. I mean, I don't mind if you talk to a girl as 'friends' but when you go partying with them, you know things are bound to go wrong. So why do you keep on hurting me? I loved you. I really did but now, I don't know what to think anymore and secondly, what were you thinking letting those idiots hurt me. But oh, that wasn't enough. You also had to pounce on me and continue what they started. Are you kidding me? And hurting Dinah too? That's messed up. I can't believe it."

I wanted to step in and stop the argument because doctors say she should be resting but Dinah stopped me.

"We have to stop them, Lauren should be resting." I whispered.

"No, we have to listen to what he says." 

"Why is it so quiet?" I say.

We both peer over and I see Luis and Lauren eating each other's face off like the whole argument never existed and I SEE Lauren. She's not pushing him away. If anything, she's pulling him closer. That's it. I've had enough. I drop the box of pancakes and run. What was I thinking, of course she'll never love me. I hear Dinah whisper-shout my name as she chases after me. After 10 minutes of running, I stop and finally, Dinah catches up. 

"Brad! Stop." She says while panting.

"WHAT?!", I shout, "Sorry, I just. I just can't believe she'd forgive him that easily."

"I know, and I'm sorry."

"It's ok, let's walk back."

We were walking down the hallway in a comfortable silence. As we turned the corner, we could see Luis talking to someone. 

"Who is that?" Dinah asks.

"I think it's, omg. It's Lauren's doctor." I say.

"Listen, Listen."

Luis' P.O.V:

"Look man, I can't do this. I'm in love with her."

"Hey, hey listen here boy. We made a deal. You break her heart and destroy her you hear me or you're going down."

"No, I"m reporting this to the police."

"Do it, and see where that lands you." 

Dinah's P.O.V:

"I have to tell you something." Brad says. 

"What?" I ask while we're both hurrying to Lauren's room to check that she's ok.

"Well, remember that day when the doctor told us the good and bad news? I noticed something fishy about that doctor. He smirked when he told us the bad news and he kept looking back at me when everyone rushed in to see Lauren while I was still outside looking at him and he came back to talk to me." He said.

"What did he say?" I asked.

"He asked who hurt her and after I told him it was Luis, He smirked. Again." He said.

Before I could ask anymore questions, we arrived in Lauren's room and everyone, meaning The Vamps and the girls were there. 

"Hey, where were you this whole morning?" Lauren asked.

"Oh, Brad and I went to grab some breakfast and we got some for you too. Did you have any visitors besides these guys?" I asked as I pointed to the rest of them. 

"No." She said.

"Umm, yeah. Here are your pancakes. Although, I think they might be cold. Dinah and I got lost," Brad said, "I'll go ask them to have it replaced." 

"I'll go with you." I say.

When we're both halfway down the hall, I ask Brad, "What do we do?"

"I don't know but we have to find out who it is and how to stop them" He says.
