On the flight to the Rota Kingdom, Ash decided to talk to Lillie about the way she acted over the past few years.
"So Lillie," Ash sighed, ", I want to know why you've been very distant from people lately, that isn't you!" Lillie looked down and started to shed a few tears.
"It's just, I felt betrayed that they would do that to you." Lillie cried, "I mean, you helped and supported us a lot, and yet, they did that to you!"
"Pika..." Pikachu sighed, concerned over the sobbing girl.
"Okay, now Lillie, look at me." Ash grunted, and the blonde girl did so, "The last thing is this: No matter what people think or say, you were never holding me back! Do you understand? It's not your fault that you couldn't help, you had no idea."
"Thanks Ash," Lillie stated, ", I guess hearing what they did to you made me second guess every bond with humans, I mean, after that, I only was friends with Pokemon from then on! The only human I thought I could ever be friends with was you from then on!"
"Vulpix." Snowy sighed while nodding to confirm this.
"It's okay, I don't blame you." Ash stated while smiling, "After all, you're my most loyal friend!"
"Thank you, Ashy!" Lillie stated, before kissing his cheek, "You have the truest of hearts!"
