Athena
This was big.
I remember feeling as if I was going to throw up the little breakfast I had before arriving, I was rushed by my guardian as we were getting everything ready.
A man had appeared before us, draped in a black cloak, it almost looked like the cloak was about to consume his whole body. He had a large nose and dark eyes. His eyes were dark but he looked sad.
After I caught myself staring I asked "Did Dumbledore send you?" calmly, finally peaking out from behind my guardian. Today I had decided to go with more of a calmer look, making my hair red and short, I decided to add freckles too.
"Yes, I was sent by Dumbledore. We must leave. Make it a short goodbye." He said in a monotone voice not breaking eye contact with me.
I nodded before I turned to my guardian. I sighed as I embraced them in a tight hug not wanting to let go. "Please write to me whenever you can." I said to them softly. They had raised me since the passing of my parents, a distant relative as we called each other. I had been taught magic by them so I was nervous to see if I was at the level of a Hogwarts student my age.
You see, everyone had thought the Courageous House of Viribus had died with the murder of my parents. The wizarding world was shocked when they couldn't find me at the scene. News of the House of Viribus, a pureblood house being murdered was extremely unheard of.
I had concealed myself in the closet of my parents, I allowed myself to become absorbed by the darkness that night, I was three. It had been two years after the Boy who Lived had defeated the Dark Lord. I don't remember seeing who killed my parents, I just remember being shoved into the closet and being just tall enough to see my mother die. It all happened so fast, I couldn't do anything to stop it so I hid.
There had only been one person to find me, Dumbledore. He was the first to arrive at the scene, he was one of the only wizards that my parents told about being my new skill, being a metamorphmagus. He found me in the closet then the next thing I know he relocated me with my relative and we hid. I was always hiding so this was the first time I was stepping into the wizarding world by myself and it was scarier than I thought.
The moment was over just as quickly as it had started and before I knew it, I was holding the strange mans hand and we had apparated just outside of Hogwarts ground. There was no time to do the boat ride over the lake, he escorted me to a carriage with my belongings and gave me the tiniest of smiles. It was comforting to know he smiled, he seemed extremely serious and it provided a small sense of comfort to me.
I sat in silence throughout the ride, the carriage was being pulled by large horse like creatures. I had never seen anything like them. I felt the need to offer them something for carrying my belongings and myself to the castle, offering them an apple I had saved.
When arriving at the castle, I noticed a giant carriage outside the castle and a large ship docked, I guess someone forgot to mention that there was a tournament. I was greeted by a lady with a large hat outside the castle doors. We waited outside the doors for a bit, being able to hear just barely Dumbledore introduce me.
She greeted me quickly. "Welcome to Hogwarts, you will be sorted now. Come along, the students are waiting." She said leading through the castle before we reached a large door. I took a deep breathe before nodding as she opened the door.
She led me down the large hall, tables full of students turned to look at me as I walked down. There were Hogwarts students but there were also beautiful students dressed in blue uniform and other more serious students sitting at the tables as well.
