Sahara makes her way around her small room on the ship as she picks up discarded clothes before folding them. Her eyes are still a bit red around the outer edges and her face is a tad bit pale. Her motions seem almost robotic--like her mind isn't fully invested in what she's doing. When she's done folding, she sets the clothes in Gwenyth's duffel-bag. With everything Cordelia said two nights prior and how Sahara herself felt that night, it just seemed right to properly pack her things. And once she's done in here, she'll move onto Cordelia's and Carter's room to pack theirs. It's the least she could do since she couldn't save any of them. But only reason she's the only one doing it is because she knows Elorie could never bring herself to do it; Sahara doesn't blame her. And Helena doesn't care enough to do it, Sahara doesn't trust Ian to, Havien and Teagan are always together so Sahara wouldn't want to bother them, and Dominic. . . Well, Sahara isn't entirely sure why she didn't ask Dominic.
She sniffles softly as she sets the leggings she was previously folding in the bag. Her gaze comes into focus just long enough to tell there's about a quarter remaining to go. She sucks in a breath as she turns to face the bed Gwenyth slept in. Sahara tries to force a smile but it's no longer within her. It might take her a while to fully recuperate from all of this. Smiling is probably not in anyone at this point; other then maybe Havien and Teagan who've finally stopped beating around the bush (the bush being their feelings for each other). They've already had to experience the death of three crewmates--some might even go as far as to call them friends (maybe even close friends)--and now everyone's on edge, anticipating to be next. Sahara sighs softly as she picks up one of Gwenyth's shirts. Nobody's safe anymore.
She balls the shirt in her hands, her jaw clenching. She can't even begin to speculate why someone would do something like this--how someone could do something like this. Were they hired by an outside force? Were they sent to kill everyone before they even got to the new galaxy but failed so they decided to do it now? Is it really Elorie--as hard to believe as it sounds--and this whole trip was a scam? If it is her, was she sent to kill them from the beginning and because it's Elorie, she failed so now she's realized she must do it now or else it's her life on the line? Sahara gasps. Is whoever's doing this being held against their will?! And if they don't complete this task, they'll die? Their family? Too many ideas run through Sahara's mind as she finishes packing Gwenyth's things. With a final zip of the duffle-bag, Sahara kneels down to shove the bag under the bed. She'll try to remember to bring it off the ship with her and give it to Gwenyth's family. There might not be a body to bury (seeing as Elorie and Ian "dumped" her into space) but the clothes she brought might be something.
With a soft sigh, Sahara heads out of her room, making sure to close (and almost lock when she remembers only Elorie has the key to unlock it) the door behind her. She turns back around, intent on heading to Carter and Cordelia's room, when she almost runs right into Dominic. He takes a step back to stay out of her way, an eyebrow raised. She manages a small, polite smile.
"Sorry, Dominic," she supplies. "Wasn't watching where I was going." He manages a small smile back. Sahara tilts her head slightly as she takes in Dominic's appearance. "Hey," she draws out. Dominic laughs softly.
"Right back at ya," he says with a wink, shooting finger guns at her. She laughs through her nose as she shakes her head.
"No, no. Sorry. That's not what I meant." They continue laughing for a moment. "Are you busy doing anything?" Sahara asks, wringing her hands.
Now that she's--almost literally--ran into Dominic, she might as well ask for his stuff. He and Carter were close anyway. It might provide him a sense of closure--can you even get closure when a man you just met but now sees as a brother mysteriously dies in space right after getting engaged? Sahara mentally shrugs. Doesn't make much sense on paper but now that they've lived it? Hurts, but makes sense.
