*Maruko's pov*

My eyes open, and I'm greeted with the deep blue sky. A clear blue sky, with boxy clouds... Wait. Boxy?

I quickly get up, and survey my surroundings. There were trees everywhere and grass was beneath my laying body. However, something seemed off. I mean of course it's weird to wake up and find yourself in a forest, but...

I pause my thoughts for a moment as I take a closer look at the area. 'Blocks' I thought to myself, 'Everything here is made up of blocks.'

I hear a pig behind and I turn my head to see a boxed pink oink aand stare into me with derpish eyes. "What the fuck..." I speak out loud. "It's like I'm in minecraft... Wait. It's like I'm in minecraft? Why would I be in..."

My mind was grasping for answers, like it was some kind of baby trying to find it's teddy. It was only until I remembered about the slushy and my computer, that I realized what just happened to me.

"Holy Shit!" I shout out loud. "I'm in minecraft!"

You'd probably think that I would begin panicking right about now, correct? Well you don't know me.

"This is... AWESOME!!!!" I shouted with glee. Who would of thought that something that happens in Fanfiction could happen to me.

"This is SOOO much better than vanilla minecraft!"

Either it was my extreme love for gaming or my instincts (maybe a little insanity), but something told me to play. And that's something that always gets me interested. The first thing that pops to my mind are the basics.

"Gotta get wood" I thought to myself approaching a nearby tree. I pull my fist back, readying a punch as I prepare to chop it down. I throw it straight ahead, and my fist reduces the tree bark into a simple block.

"Well that was easier than I thou-" I talk to myself again, and then a sharp pain surges through my arm. I hold my arm trying not to scream, as the pain began swell my hand. 'Note to self: Trees here are as hard as the real ones back home.' I thought to myself. I fall to my knees and hear something rattle on my back. It kind of set me off, but then I noticed that I had straps on both my arms. I knew what I was carrying, and I'm rather surprised to see it there. I undo the straps on my arms and see my backpack still full of all my school supplies. 'How the hell did this get zapped into the game,' I thunk to myself wondering how it could've got there.'and why was it on my back? Didn't I remove it before I started up my game?' Once again my brain began searching for answers. However it took me less time to think about it when I saw something shine on the ground.

It was my old baseball bat from middle school, I realized. It was pure aluminum, and had a paintjob with the words "SkullCracker" written on it. "Didn't expect to see you here" I said to my bat, whilst picking it from the ground. It smelled of blue raspberry for an odd reason, but I dismissed it as just mere coincidence. "I'll think about it later." I told myself walking towards the tree I damaged.

I picked up the wooden block that I forgot to pick up after my first punch, and thought about how to chop down this tree. I knew trying to punch it that hard again would probably end up breaking my hand so doing that again was probably a bad idea. "Maaaaan! How the hell does Steve do it?" I asked myself. My brain is really thinking hard today, isn't it? And it's still the first day of Summer. I sat down on some dirt blocks in the exact position as the thinker and decided to think of solution to my problem.

*3 minutes later*

I approached the tree and raised my fist. I threw a punch but this time, I repeatedly did a light tapping several times on the wood much like how an average minecrafter would punch. It worked and in no time flat, I managed to collect from three trees before deciding that it was enough. I blew a little bit of air onto my hand. Even though my work on the trees were efficient this time, I still kinda bruised my hand in the process. 'Note to self: make an axe.' I seemed quite happy about myself considering that I managed to collect this much. Unfortunately, as I turned my head to look at the sun, it was already gone.

"... Shit." I said aloud.

The moon was rising, and as a veteran player of this game. I knew exactly what that meant. I knew I was being watched right now. I might not have realized it earlier, but I knew I was being watched. I guess I got caught up in the wood collecting to realize that the sun was going down. 'Noob mistake' I thought. It wasn't long before I heard a familiar hissing behind me.

The last few moments were a blur. All I could remember was that I heard something behind me, ran through a dark forest, and then reached a ledge. Now here I am on the edge of a cliff while I hear a mixed sound of footseps and hissing ringing through in the forest behind.

I looked at the in front of me down there was a large ravine that seemed to go down all the way to bedrock. Normally in this type of situation I would just jump and hope and land in water. But that was only because I was playing on my computer. Remembering the pain I got just from punching simple wooden blocks, I knew that I would probably die from a fall that large. It was also a known fact that in these types of scenarios, if you died here then you'll die in real life.

I was really at a loss on what I should do. The hissing got closer and I was just standing at the edge hoping for a miracle. 'I didn't want my summer to end like this,' I said to myself still unsure of whether or not I should accept my fate.

There was a figure hiding behind the trees.Something green and monstrous. It was here, and ready to kill me. I knew well about its kind, and their capabilities. Creepers were what they're called, and were walking timebombs that had a lust for blood. I remember my last few encounters with their kind. They all ended with someone dead (along with a crater). 'Am I really going to die here?' I asked myself wondering if this could just be all some sort of dream

*Third-person pov*

He wanted to believe that he would wake up any moment. But somewhere in his heart he knew that it was real. The world, His life, and the creeper behind the tree.

A rustle came from the forest behind him, and as he turned around he saw the familiar face. The face of a creeper. Color disappeared on his face as he saw. But for some reason, it looked a lot different that before. It looked... round? But before he could come back to his senses; Maruko realized that he was slowly at the edge, and before he knew it his footing slipped. He was slowly falling inside the ravine, and when he reaches the bottom...

...

He will die.

*Maruko's pov*

'Well looks like my summer stops here,' Is what I was about to say as I was beginning to fall to my doom. But right out of nowhere I felt a weight on my arm. It felt like a strong grip so I could only assume it to be a hand.

As I turned to look, my assumptions were correct. There it was, a hand with a glove on it. The arm looked green, but then I realized it was just a long sleeve to some type of clothing.

Questions were beginning to fill my mind as to what's happening, and there I see the face of my rescuer.

It was a girl who looked to be my age. She had orange hair, golden eyes, and wore a hoodie that had a Creeper face on it. Her face was wiped with worry.

"Um... hello?" She spoke with a soft voice "Are you alright?"
